Our tour guide truly loved music and it showed. It made the tour that much more interesting. A MUST for any rock fan.
Thank you for the amazing day Ian!! We got some great tips on were to find live music in London.
This is a Must-Do for all rock fans. We covered a lot of territory: around London as well as from an historical perspective. Colin did a splendid job of touching on key points of Rock's formation in the city and had an amazing grasp of interesting bits. We liked that Colin did such a nice job of understanding each tour member's interests and adjusted the tour accordingly. A very nice balance of breaks to walk about, too. Highly recommended!
Fantastic tour. It is a must if you go to London. We done the full day tour, which I would recomend. Our guide Bob is a great guy. Well done!
Do it! This afternoon tour takes about four hours or so, but the guide was fantastic and the details were extensive.
Our tour was fabulous. The guide was so informative and personable, he made rock history come alive!
We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and our driver/guide was excellent and most helpful, we would recommend it to others.
We saw do much. Places we never new even existed.
A must do if you love your music.
We did both the morning and afternoon tours and thoroughly enjoyed both. The guides were very knowledgeable and showed us many sites that we had heard of but would have never found on our own. I would highly recommend either tour to anyone who has an interest in Rock and Roll history.
Our guide Ian was very knowledgeable about all things rock and roll in London
Highly recommend this tour - the tour guide was so knowledgeable and we learnt more than we thought we would not only about the London Rock Music history, but also some interesting things about London itself. It was great getting to drive around in the city and see it from a different perspective. Abbey Road a clear highlight!
The afternoon rock tour was amazing! It really put the London rock scene in perspective. Our guide, Bob, was knowledgeable and informative. The highlight was walking across Abbey Road. So glad our guide told us about the EarthCam recording. Now I have footage of us!
Excellent tour with guide Bob.
Enjoyable and very informative, finding out about hidden gems away from the usual touristy places. Bob's knowledge of the music scene and London itself was admirable, he has a great personality and tried to cater for everyone's individual tastes.
A great mornings experience, well worth the money and I would highly recommend this tour and tour guide Bob to anyone!
What a wonderful expericence. We received a lot of information and heard many interesting stories. We were lucky to explore Londron from new different angles during nice and easy ride in afternoon, imagininig great musicians walking the streets. Thank you.
Ian the guide was brillant told us things we never knew and more not just the music well done
Bob, who was our tour guide, was a wealth of information and very passionate about the rock scene in London. He was very captivating and I would recommend anyone who has a chance to take a tour with Bob, definitely do so...!!
Our guide Ian was fantastic. He made the tour very personal and remembered our names throughout the day. He really knows his rock history. Since we are Beatle fans, Ian went out of his way to give us extra Beatle trivia. Our tour was on a Sunday so there was less traffic than usual which was nice.
Much ground, both historical and across London, was covered on this afternoon tour with the guide doing a fine job at balancing informative commentary and good driving skills.
We only had two chances to leave the bus: at Bill Wyman's Sticky Fingers bar and the Abbey Road recording studios where you could read up on the important milestones, dating back to the 1930s, as you made your entry into the on site gift shop.
The Beatles, individually and collectively, probably got the most mentions, but there was also fabulous nuggets of information about the likes of Dave Clark, Robert Stigwood, Chris Blackwell founder of Island Records, Harry Nilsson, Sharon Osbourne and many others.
A contender for the most fascinating story could well be the writing process followed by Freddy Mercury with regard to the lyrics for Bohemian Rhapsody.
With regard to the properties we saw from the outside, there was a house owned by Paul McCartney since 1966 and adjoining residences belonging to Jimmy Page and Robbie Williams.
A rewarding tour experience that I would recommend to both the casual listener and the most ardent musicophile.
We thoroughly enjoyed our morning on the Rock Tour. Our guide Colin was enthusiastic and informative and was keen to ensure that we got the most from the tour. The balance of stopping for him to give a talk about what we could see and getting out to look around was ideal - and one stop for a cup of tea. We were possibly fortunate that there were only 7 of us as there were a few no-shows! Also, Colin was adept at tailoring the content of his chats to bands and acts there were of deeper interest to those of us on the bus. All in all a good morning - and on a further London trip I'm sure we'll do one of the other Rock tours.
