What You Can Expect

London Super Saver: Royal London Sightseeing Tour with Changing of the Guard Ceremony plus Stonehenge

See Big Ben on your tour of London

Royal London Morning Sightseeing Tour with Changing of the Guard (3.5 hours):After morning pickup from your central London hotel or a meeting point in the city center, start your coach tour with a drive to Kensington Palace, the former residence of Diana, Princess of Wales. Don your state-of-the-art Vox headphones and hear every word of commentary clearly as you guide reveals the stories of each site.

Look for the Royal Albert Hall, the stage of many world-famous concerts, and see the extravagant Albert Memorial, commissioned by Queen Victoria in honor of her late husband, Prince Albert. See Whitehall and Downing Street, the base of the British Prime Minister; and view landmark sights including Trafalgar Square, Big Ben and Westminster Abbey — the latter where Prince William and Kate Middleton were married in 2011.

Next, head past St James’s Park to Buckingham Palace to see the Changing of the Guard. Watch in delight as the Queen’s Foot Guard, dressed in pillar box-red tunics and bearskin helmets, exchange duties to music from a military band. Hear about the ceremony’s history, and capture the color and pageantry on camera.

Your tour then concludes in Trafalgar Square within easy strolling distance of the start point for your afternoon Stonehenge trip.

Afternoon Stonehenge Trip from London with Audio Tour (7 hours):Settle into your comfortable, air-conditioned coach, and venture out of London to UNESCO-listed Stonehenge, the prehistoric stone circle on Wiltshire’s Salisbury Plain. Dating back some 4,500 years, this jaw-dropping ancient monument is incredibly well preserved for its age, and believed by many scholars to have served as a temple aligned to the movements of the sun.

On arrival, set off on an independent, audio tour. Collect your audio-guide, and enjoy around an hour at the site. Gaze up at the colossal stones as you stroll around the perimeter of the monument, and hear the theories as to how they were transported here. Then, explore the impressive visitor center to learn more through the fascinating archaeological and audio-visual displays.

Afterward, ride back by coach to central London, where your tour finishes.

It was a wonderful tour. The first half was well done and we really enjoyed it. The Stonehenge portion was outstanding. It was wonderful to visit Stonehenge. So glad we took the time to do it. Wish we had more time in London to see some of the other sights. In addition, the bus driver Michael Angelo did an excellent job.

The morning sightseeing tour was great. Since they were doing the parade for Queen Elizabeth's birthday which was really in April, but they do the function in June, instead of the Changing of the Guard Ceremony we were taken by the bus to Westminster and walked though the park to see in the parade. We were able to see the cottages with the prince, princess and queen very closely and enjoy it for an hour. The guide was excellent with a very nice personality and super sense of humor. In the afternoon we headed to Stonehenge and it was another great experience. The trip to get there allows you to see the very beautiful landscapes of the outskirts of London with the mountains and strawberry plantations. Stonehenge itself was something that we always wanted to visit and, again, it was completely worth it. They have everything thoroughly organized and the time given by the bus driver is perfect to enjoy the place without any rush at all. Thank you one more time Viator!

Tour was awesome but would have been a five star except for the horrid traffic and very long bus ride. Pickup at hotel was great but drop off soewhere in London without making that clear was not fun at night.

The Royal London Sightseeing tour was great. The guide really knew his stuff and was entertaining while giving us the information on the sights we were seeing. He knew where to go for the best views and had a cheerful attitude. He also made sure we met up with the second part of the tour for Stonehenge. The Stonehenge part did not start off well. We spent an hour and a half picking up people from 2 locations. We spent over a half an hour picking up 2 ladies from in front of a casino. Once on our way, the trip improved. We thoroughly enjoyed Stonehenge. It was not very busy in the afternoon, but since we spent so much time picking up, our time in Stonehenge was shortened. Stonehenge is must see if you are in London.

Great tour! Did the morning London bus tour and it was great. I forgot now our MC for the tour but she was amazing. A lot of knowledge and really felt like I learned a lot about the city. The changing of the guard as well was really cool. I enjoyed how we experienced it.

The Stonehenge tour was quite nice as well. The bus ride out there was pretty long, but the bus driver was great. We had 2 hours at the site. I think this could extend out another 30 mins due to the exhibition there we could get access to. I liked the fact we had the little radio things with us to give us the audio tour. I wish we had earphones though as holding up with your hands made your hands cooooooooold. :

Overall, pretty great trip!

this was a trip for those who appreciate the history and mystery of the sight. For others it will be a pile of rocks in the middle of nowhere .....weather was a factor....we left 95F in London and arrived to 55F and rain and wind .....go prepared.....it is not a child friendly experience nor one for bored teens. I loved it and my daughter, 21, loved it.....but we went for sheer awe of it......driver awesome and bus awesome. Viatour rocks.

The AM part of the tour I DO NOT recommend.
The tour guide was awful. She spoke bare minimum information and she repeated the same sentences over and over.
If you know where to stand you are MUCH Better off just going on your own.
We were fairly far away and although the tour guide offered us to go where we wish, by the time we arrived any good places were gone and since the ceremony had already begun, we could not go closer anyway. It was a disappointment really. Before the ceremony we went to one other place to have a quick look around but again, the information was minimal and repeated many times.
PM, the driver for the bus was great. He took a different route back to the city once he heard there was an issue on the highway we took out of the city. He was courteous and efficient.
The drive there is a bit tedious and the wifi only worked intermittently but it is a great way to see some English countryside if your entire trip was planned for London.
For our family, Stonehenge was a MUST, so we were very happy and the self guided tour was great.

Finding the starting point was difficult. A more detailed start location would be of great benefit. Also, the Viator pitch states hotel pickup is included. The company however, when called, states they will only pick up at certain hotels.

Someone else driving to Stonehenge is a plus.

The Royal Saver was great, the driver and guide were wonderful. To Stonehendge - it was very disorganized, we went to the place we were suppose to meet and they didn't really give us any information, we kinda just waited until we found other people on the same tour.

This was my second trip to Stonehenge and the Visitor Centre made it worth the trip. The Changing of the Guard Ceremony was also well timed. However, the drive through the city was not a good use of time. There was no getting off the bus. Too much look to your left, look to your right. That needs to be changed to some off he bus time to see some of these sights.
