Extremely nice, not touristy at all. Unlike some places they did not mind that I was a solo traveler and even gave me an extra glass of champagne for free. We were fortunate to have lovely weather and I saw London from a whole different angle have been here before but never down the river. One thing to note: there is no commentary telling you what you are looking at, so you'd do well to familiarize yourself with a map or guidebook before you get on the boat. I had a local person behind me who was describing all the buildings to his relatives so I had a little extra tour guide experience. It's still enjoyable though even if you're not aware you're passing one of the oldest pubs in London, an office building that once reflected light to set a car on fire in the street, etc.
Very pleasant trip and excellent staff. Live piano music was a plus! Highly recommended and also enjoyable for kids.
Service was great, and the food was delicious! What a great way to see London.
I really enjoyed my tour. It was an elegant setting with great ambiance.
A great way to explore and enjoy London. I would not want to miss it!
This was by far my favorite part of my whole trip in London. Great staff. Lovely atmosphere. The tea and finger foods were delicious. My favorite were the scones. Mmm so good. Piano music was a wonderful background to float down the River Thames to. All in all must excellent fun.
Tea was delicious. Great food. I only wish they had enforced the dress code a little more.
I took my aunt on this as a welcome to UK - she was thrilled with the experience. Only wish it could have lasted longer - it was such a pleasant experience. The pianist was excellent.
This was a great lazy way to view some of our fantastic buildings in London, new and old, and have a really lovely afternoon cream tea. This was a perfect way to spend the afternoon before going to the Royal Albert Hall to see Swan Lake. I have told a friend and I will definitely be coming back with her.
It was fabulous!
Ultra romantic, great tea, great boat, great staff!
I took my sister on this trip as a belated birthday g ift. We were impressed fight from the checking in at Embankment Pier. ALL the staff were courteous and friendly. The food served was lovely, especially the warm scones with clotted cream and strawberry preserve. Very yummy! The view from our window-side table was wonderful. Seeing all that wonderful London architecture, both old and new, was most interesting. We are born and bred Londoners and absolutely proud of our great city. We have visited other big cities round the world but London is the best. We took the dress code very seriously and took great care with our outfits, although there were some on the boat who didn't embrace the sense of occasion. Such a pity. My sister said it was the best present I could have given her. We are thinking of booking the lunch cruise next , then the dinner cruise with our husbands. That's how much we enjoyed our trip. Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make it a real 'English Afternoon Tea' complete with our lovely pianist who played for the whole trip.
Staff was very attentive and took note of our individual requests regarding strength of tea and vegetarian choices. Piano accompaniment was entertaining without being intrusive. Everything went very smoothly.
The tea and the cruise were lovely. Disappointed that we dressed for tea and many people did not. Were allowed on with shorts, jeans, sneakers etc. Everything we were told not to wear
This was a nice relaxing tour with snacks and drinks. Note that juice substitutes for tea/coffee are charged as extras on board. Note that there was no guide or audio guide. It's just a cruise down the Thames with very nice snacks. We were offered extras too. We did the upgrade with window table and champagne. Without this, you could just be on a boat cruise with snacks and not much of a view without getting up and walking around.
This is a lovely way to spend the afternoon and a nice way to view London. The food was quite good and the selection of teas great. The British couple next to us were wonderful to talk with. He had been given the cruise as an 80th birthday gift. We have great fun, and enjoyed meeting our new British friends!
A wonderful, pleasant and peaceful afternoon, with beautiful piano playing. Thoroughly enjoyable. Lovely waiter service.
We loved the tour, we just arrived in London that day and it was a great start to se the top sites and relax. The service was very good, very friendly. The sandwiches could have been a little more filled. The scones suburb. Tea selection great. we would recommend and go again if in London.
Fantastic day out, every thing went well, including the weather!!
A very English experience indeed! The day was absolutely beautiful and it was a fantastic way of spending a couple of hours. Seating was a bit unfortunate as we were seated to the back corner, however staff were polite and the overall atmosphere was enjoyable.
The Thames cruise with afternoon tea was amazing - we had a wonderful afternoon.
