Full-day tour from London
Visit towns and villages seen on-screen in Midsomer Murders
We visited quite a few of the villages used in the filming of Midsomer Murders. Even so, the pace didn't feel as fast as it must have been. Our guide (I wish I could remember his name!) was quite knowledgeable about all of the villages. And he didn't limit himself to Midsomer Murders. If there were other interesting places to see, he pointed those out as well. For example, Agatha Christie's home and the church where The Vicar of Dibley was filmed. This was well worth the money and time spent!
We were a small group in a comfy coach for this tour. Our guide was great as she was very knowledgeable about the show. We visited many of the filming locations with stops that allowed us to get out and walk around and through the villages that were used in the episodes. Our lunch stop at Henley on the Thames included a a walking tour of the main street and along the river before re-boarding the coach. Because the filming locations are in very country settings we were able to get great views of the English countryside as we drove from one filming location to another.
Our tour guide, Caroline, was not only able to provide lots of interesting information about the buildings and villages used to film the Midsomer Murders but she was also a wealth of knowledge about so much to do with the countryside and history of the shires we passed through and sites used for a variety of other movies and series. It was an excellent tour and jam packed but will sufficient time to walk around and take photos, be immersed in village life and even pop into some of the pubs for quick drink. Caroline also had an excellent sense of humour and was well versed in the Midsomer series. I had a fabulous day and would highly recommend this tour.
Loved this tour! Our guide, Caroline, had extensive knowledge of the TV series and pointed out many places of interest. Everywhere we visited was picture perfect, beautiful countryside and gardens. The tour was well managed, plenty of stops and time to walk through the villages and look around. Highly recommend this tour.

Great fun day out with interesting facts and some additional places of interest as well as all the Midsomer Murders facts and figures. Saw far more than we expected and our guide Rob was a passionate raconteur of all things Midsomer and beyond. Had lunch in a pub serving Midsomer ale on tap and great food. Definitely recommended for Midsomer tragics!!!
