What To Expect

Depart central London by air-conditioned coach and venture into the English countryside. As you travel, hear interesting facts about the region and your first destination — the prehistoric monument of Stonehenge on Salisbury Plain.

On arrival, enjoy time to explore this atmospheric site at leisure. Head inside, collect an informative audio guide, and ride the shuttle or follow the pathways to the UNESCO-listed stones that date back some 4,500 years.

Marvel at the gigantic stones and ponder how they were transported and raised here. Then, learn how and why Stonehenge was built — most scholars believe it formed a temple aligned to the sun — through the archaeological exhibitions and audiovisual experiences at the visitor center.
Next, continue west to the 18th-century city of Bath. All honey-stoned townhouses, terraces and bridges, this UNESCO-listed city is one of England’s crowning glories.

Enjoy the afternoon to explore this delightful city independently. Perhaps delve into the handsome streets to admire the Georgian architecture, seeing top Bath attractions such the Royal Crescent, Bath Abbey and Pulteney Bridge that spans the Avon River.

Alternatively, upgrade to visit the Roman Baths, one of the world’s best-preserved sets of Roman remains. Explore the Great Bath and museum, and discover how the Romans built and expanded the complex over Baths’ natural springs from the 1st century AD.

Or, perhaps upgrade to visit the Jane Austen Visitor Centre. The much-loved English novelist lived in Bath in the early 1800s, and this fascinating museum chronicles her life and works through documents, artifacts and interactive experiences.

Lastly, return to London, where your tour ends with a drop-off near Victoria rail station.

The Jane Austen Centre

The Jane Austen Centre is a permanent exhibition. Situated in an original Georgian townhouse, it tells the story of Jane’s time in Bath, including the effect that living here had on her and her writing. Your ticket includes entrance to the Jane Austen Centre (if entry option selected).

1 hour Admission Ticket Not Included

Traveler Tips

Make sure to take a jacket or wind breaker as it gets cold and windy at Sone Henge.
Speaking of, you may not reach Bath until later in the afternoon, so I recommend bringing a sandwich on board to eat after Stonehenge or you may get hungry.
Don't plan anything for the evening after the tour, the traffic is unpredictable, we arrived more then an hour later.

Great experience
Kevin_W, Jun 2022
We had a great experience. The tour guides Leon and David were perfect. Very informational and fun tour.
Ann Marie was great!
Leslie_C, Jun 2022
Ann Marie lead the tour and she was great. Very knowledgeable and fun. Glad we did just Stonehenge and Bath in 1 day. It gave us enough time at each location to see everything and not feel rushed.
Overall great day
Karen_M, Jun 2022
Our tour guide Allan was knowledgeable, humorous and entertaining. Stonehenge was very impressive up close. I loved sitting at the square across from the Roman baths and listening to the local street musicians. Very beautiful and serene. Overall great day out

Stonehenge and Bath
Mark_M, Jun 2022
Stonehenge walk around was great! Not much time for giftshop and museum. Enjoyed Bath and the sites there. Took time to have lunch rather than do the walk with our guide.
Excellent experience
Denise_F, Jun 2022
The tour provides ample time at the sites as well as time yo explore on your own. Alan was fantastic. He’s a perfect mix of knowledgeable and entertaining. Highly recommend.
Amazing history beautiful and kind tour guide
Jocelyn_M, Jun 2022
Tour guide was knowledgeable about different things. She makes sure everyone was on their way home appropriately. We went during the train strike. She even saw us on the same tube as her and came over making sure we knew our stop still.
Take the train on your own instead
laura_p, Jun 2022
It's very easy to visit Stonehenge and Bath on public transit and keep your own schedule so I wouldn't recommend this bus tour. There was a transit strike in London the week of my tour, shutting down the metro and trains, and causing immense traffic. I got to the bus stop 15 minutes late, and they left without me with no attempt to contact and no refund. You can see in other reviews the bus left late on other days. I paid $130 for this tour but because the trains were finally running for a few hours later that morning, I went to Bath myself for less than L100 on a comfortable, empty, 90 minute train. This included the Roman tour, and I had all the time I wanted to also climb onto the church roof, visit Jane Austen Center, eat, etc. You can also get to Salisbury by train for Stonehenge.
Bath an unexpected charming city and abbey
Stefan_P, Jun 2022
Tour guide Alan brought humor and energy to the tour group. Very relatable and ran a tight ship to keep us on schedule. Stonehenge was nice, but Bath, the city and the abbey, were the highlight for us. Very beautiful, we’re tempted to abandon tour and stay extra day(s) in Bath.
Okay tour
Gary_S, Jun 2022
We very much enjoyed going to see Stonehenge and Bath. We found the seats on the couch were very uncomfortable, even my 17-year-old nephew thought so. The tour guide was knowledgeable, but he frequently rambled off topic on everything from TV shows and which men look better with their shirts off. It would’ve been nice if he had stopped rambling

Lovely day !
Sylvie_M, Jun 2022
We had a great day, a bit short of time in Stonehenge because it was June 22 and ceremonies were taking place so there were an extra number of people. Bath is beautiful, we had enough time for an overview (we did not take any visit - Jane Austen or roman bathes) but Bath deserves a couple of days. Some tours start from there. Chris our driver and Magnus our guide did a very good job. The beautiful weather made it a great day.
Great experience. Tour...
Jacob_G, Jun 2022

Liyana_G, Jun 2022
Learning about the history of the roman baths amd theories behind stonehenge. And walking around the beautiful city of bath. Our guide, Anne Marie is very knowledgeable and tells us the history of the the different places in a very candid and interactive manner. She is funny! Our driver, Bernard, is also friendly as well :) love the trip!
So-so tour
Karen_B, Jun 2022
Bus running late, return drop off 2 miles short of pick up point. Not enough time at first stop, too much time at second stop

Nice experience
Yongxin_M, Jun 2022
Relaxing and safe. The driver David is really nice and the tour guide spoke throughly and slowly( I think non-native speakers could understand her English). They are responsible and kind.
Richard is the best Tour...
