My husband and I were not sure how much we would like taking an Uber boat, but were pleasantly surprised at how nice it was. We pre-paid (via Viator) for the day we would be using the Uber boat. We toured the Westminster area (Winston Churchill war rooms and Westminster Abby, both close to one another). Then we hopped onto the Uber Boat after showing our printed out receipt, they give you your real ticket at the pier. We took the Westminster Pier and got off on the London Bridge Pier, which is close to the Borough Market. We had a lovely variety of food at the market. We decided to relax and enjoy a boat ride all the way down to the last pier and back to Westminster. It was a super day!! We absolutely loved the Uber Boat. The crew were professional and the boat was clean. Highly recommended. You can hop on and off whenever you want at piers offered. It runs all day bit check their hours.

Friday evening was busy but interesting. Saturday was absolutely useless as the timetable was in tatters and there were too few boats for the people waiting and this frayed the tempers of both staff and passengers. We finally boarded a vessel after about an hour wait. However, on our return to the Greenwich pier we were told that it would be at least a 90 wait for a boat to return to the city, so we had to take the train back. All in all, it is unlikely that you will be able to make full use of hop-on-hop-off so cheaper just to use oyster on this boat. if you can get one at all!!

Efficient Thames Exploration, Scenery Not Attractive

The Thames Clippers ride was an efficient way to see the sights along the river and the staff was professional and friendly. However, unlike the trip on the Seine, the scenery along the Thames is not very attractive and often downright unsightly. Not a very good way to see London.
