What You Can Expect

Thames River Sightseeing Cruise with Afternoon Tea

Nibble on cakes during an afternoon tea cruise in London!

In the afternoon, head to Tower Pier in central London to board the teatime cruise along the River Thames. Find your seat in the cozy, indoor saloon and enjoy panoramic views of the city shoreline as your 1.5-hour cruise begins.

Heading west from Tower Pier, you’ll first pass the mystery-laden Tower of London and the monolithic Shard building, a 95-story pyramid of glass. Continue on to Shakespeare’s famous Globe Theatre, a stunning Elizabethan playhouse with running performances, and the towering London Eye. Along the South Bank, you’ll see a medley of buskers, locals and tourists meandering on the bustling pedestrian path. Your cruise loops at Westminster, where you’ll get great views of the Houses of Parliament and the iconic Big Ben before heading back east.

As you cruise, indulge in British culinary delights like scones spread with jam and spoonfuls of cream, finger sandwiches, cakes and unlimited tea and coffee. For an added treat, order a glass of bubbly (own expense) from the onboard bar. After tea, feel free to wander the open-air deck as you arrive back at Tower Pier.

We thoroughly enjoyed our cruise. The staff were all so helpful and efficient. It was wonderful seeing the sights of London particularly towards the end of the afternoon when everything was lit up. Tower Bridge was brilliant and the London Eye. Sandwiches were good and plenty to eat. Drinks were offered as an extra and we tried the Prosecco for one which was reasonably priced.

Easy to use. Had assigned seats so don't need to rush to get a window seat since preassigned we didn't know this and came early but we really didn't need to. We didn't get a window but it was still good views.

Food was pretty good, wait staff were very attentive. We got to see the bridge opening which was cool. Took a lot of pictures from the upper deck. Departure pier is right next to Tower of London which is convenient. Highly recommend and will do again.

Had a really lovely day, food plentiful staff polite and courteous, would of been nice to go a little slower en route to Houses of Parliament etc, commentary a little muffled over everyone chatting, but would definitely recommend this trip, will certainly be going again

This is a wonderful way to experience the sights of London along the Thames as well as a sampling of what afternoon tea is like. We were not expecting the amount of food served. We also got to see the Tower bridge open for a passing ship. We thought it was well worth the cost. The only negative was that it was somewhat difficult to hear the explanations of the sights we were passing.

This was a great way to relax and see the sites of London. You go under several bridges including London bridge and Tower bridge. You also see The Tower of London, Big Ben and the London Eye all while enjoying tea or coffee finger sandwiches, little deserts and of course scones. There are many windows and if you do not happen to sit right next to one, you can go above for the perfect photos.
