This was the perfect tour to see the sights of Westminster. Danielle, our guide, was fabulous! Her knowledge and enthusiasm were amazing! We really got to see and learn about Westminster Abbey, Parliament and Big Ben to name a few of the many places seen.
Churchill War Rooms are a must see....great way to see them as you can take the audio guided tour on your own at your pace.
The historic walking tour of London including the Churchill War Rooms was wonderful. The guide was extremely knowledgeable and entertaining.
Excellent walking tour! Learned so much about Churchill and the surrounding area. Highly recommneded!
Thoroughly enjoyed this very informative tour with our very knowledgable and obviously passionate guide.
Our tour guide, Andy, was excellent. He was most engaging, knowledgable and his deep interest in the life and times of Winston Churchill was very evident. I don't think our visit at the end of the tour would have been as meaningful if it wasn't for Andy and the pre tour of Westminster. Many thanks, Dolores
We did this tour in the afternoon. We had no trouble finding the location, and although it appears there were several tour groups forming up we found our guide with no trouble.
There were about 15 people in our tour group. The tour uses small transmitters with earphones so even if you are some distance away from the guide, you can still hear everything he says, even with the noise of London traffic. The actual guided portion of the tour was a little less than 2 hours, at which point you are brought in to the Churchill Museum / War Rooms to continue on your own.
Our guide, Andy, was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. He obviously has a love for the subject and was able to provide much greater insight than if we had just done this on our own.
We loved this tour and would highly recommend it. The actual walking part is probably less than 2 miles at a very slow pace. I would recommend an umbrella, since even though the forecast said no chance of rain, we did experience several heavy downpours as Andy said, welcome to London.
If you have any interest in Churchill and London, especially during WWII, be prepared to spend at least 1-2 hours inside the museum after the tour. The museum is fascinating, and the war rooms are in virtually the same condition as they were in 1945. The museum tour is self-guided with personal audio receivers so you can go at your own pace. The entry cost for the museum is included in the tour, and you get to bypass the entry line which was fairly long.
Overall an excellent experience.
We thoroughly enjoyed this tour and the guide's reminiscences from his family's experience during WWII made it even more impactful!
I highly recommend this tour!
Absolutely amazing afternoon, informative and skip the line war rooms was worth the extra money . A must do!
Our historical walking tour of Westminster and visit to the Churchill War Rooms was amazing. Our knowledgeable and entertaining guide shared stories that made historical events come to life. We learned a great deal about England's parliament, and how government has changed throughout the various ruling powers. The Churchill War Rooms provided us with an in depth picture of Churchill's impact during World War II. One can easily spend several days in the museum. There is so much to experience. this adventure is a must for anyone interested in history, and will definitely embellish their experience in London.
So glad we booked the walking tour before the War Room visit. Our guide, Nathan, was terrific! He was knowledgeable and funny. The War Rooms were interesting, but we didn't have a lot of time because we took the afternoon tour. The Churchill museum was not laid out in a very user-friendly way. However, it was fascinating.
Very well done tour. The guide was excellent and everything well organized. Worth every penny.
This was very good but understand that when they say Westminster, they mean the section of London, not Westminster Abbey. I thought the tour was for Westminster Abbey and the Churchill War Rooms so was a tad disappointed. The war rooms are a must see!
If you're interested in WWII history and you're new to London then I recommend this tour, it's very informative and a nice walk with a medium sized group. Once at the War Rooms it's a self guided tour.
What a wet and rainy day it was but the guide was fantastic definitely a good way to find out the history you are veiwing. The Churchill War rooms are well worth a look.
Best tour we had while there. The Churchill War Room is amazing be sure to have lots of time at the end of the tour to take it in.
We had a family large group. However, the tour company provided headset/radio communication with our guide. So, no problem! Dave was enthusiastic and informative. His willingness to expand on the information necessary to present and suggest other things to do was appreciated. Our 'special' entry into the 'War Room' venue, along with an unlimited amount of time allowed to view this amazing site was wonderful.
I'd recommend this tour for any who aware Westminster/London, Churchill or WWII enthusiasts.
Great tour, you get to see so much in a short amount of time. I also likes that it ended at Churchill War Rooms which allowed us all the time we wanted to explore this amazing place. Our tour guide, Gavin, was funny, knowledgeable, and you could tell he loved his job!
Very informative one and half tour of the London parliamentary area. Great guide. Followed by a self guided tour of Churchill's war rooms.
The walking tour was really fun. We were lucky enough to see Larry the Cat, chief mouser at 10 Downing Street. Our guide told us lively stories along the way. War rooms really gave you a feel how dedicated the people were who fought WWII with intellegence information but without what we would consider technology.
Our guide was excellent. I just wish he entered the museum with us to point out the most interesting exhibits rather than leaving it to the audio guide.
Josh was our tour guide for this tour and he was outstanding!! He made WWII history come to life as we walking. Loved this tour!!
Our tour guide Robert was a wealth of knowledge about the Westminster area. It was obvious that he continues to study and learn about the area. My 13 year old son took it all in and was excited to learn the history of the area. Admission to the Churchill War Rooms was included. We were able to bypass the long lines and gain immediate entry. We highly recommend this tour!
Fantastic historical overview, loved or tour guide...
great photos - very informative
Our tour guide was informative, entertaining and charming. It was a cold, rainy day, but he held our attention beautifully. I learned so much and would recommend this tour to everyone!
