We opted for the bus tour, rather than trying to get there on our own and were so glad that we did. Once we were on the bus, the convenience was worth the cost of the tour. The exhibit was excellent my husband is not a Harry Potter fan - no books or movies- and he thoroughly enjoyed it. It was exciting to see the sets and costumes, but the behind the scenes exhibits were equally enjoyable. We especially liked the special effects rooms which highlighted the mechanics behind so many of the creatures in the movies. We took the 3 hour tour, which was just the right amount of time for us since we did not participate in any of the special break-out offerings wand wizardry, broomstick flying, etc., but if you are a devoted fan, or have children with you, you might look for a longer tour. It' s important to note that the tour bus adheres closely to it's schedule- we waited 10 minutes for one of the passengers and finally left without him/her. The bus driver did confer with another driver and made arrangements to assist the tardy passenger so it wasn't a heartless decision. Our driver, Michelangelo, was very professional.
On the downside, we had never taken a bus tour from Victoria Station and did not easily find the bus, or the bus terminal. Google maps was not helpful and we were directed by the Information people at the station to follow the line on the floor to the bus terminal. Easier said than done, once outside the station we had to look for small signs posted on lamp posts to guide us several blocks to the bus terminal. Once at the terminal, we were directed to Gate1 which was noted on our voucher unfortunately, the tour left from Gate 0 and we spent tense moments trying to find out where to go. Again, once we were on the bus things were great, but had we not allowed ourselves ample time to find the terminal, etc., we would have literally missed the bus.
I am not a fan of harry potter but this was quite interesting my wife and grandson looooved it
Clean, good. The diagonal ally was fantastic. All the exhibits were just fantastic. I have seen only the first and part of the second movie but it was still great to see the sets, the Hogwarts Express, platform 9 3/4 etc etc....
Wonderful experience once inside the exhibition. Unfortunately after you receive your ticket and pass through security you have to que for a very long time inside before you can actually go into the exhibition. You get 3 hours to visit but that includes the queuing inside, which means in reality you have far less time to enjoy the experience.
I only wish there was more time! For a true Potterhead this is IT. Diagon Alley, Hogwarts Express?!?!?! Does it get better than this? Totally worth every penny. I could spend all day here. The time we had wasn't nearly enough. We will do it again though to make sure we cover every square inch.
The Harry Potter Studio Tour was worth every penny. Even though it was very crowded, the crowds were well managed. The number of authentic sets available for viewing was stupendous. The butterbeer is a must!

This was an excellent trip and worth the money. We were collected outside the Evans Evans office in London and transported to Warner Brothers Studios with a few pickups at the beginning. We arrived and the driver collected the tickets and distributed them to everyone. we had 3.5 hours at the attraction. We had a train to catch so that was ideal but it might be a little short for some people.
The tour was excellent and the level of detail was also great.
I can recommend this tour without hesitation.
If you are a fan of the Harry Potter movies, you should not miss going to the Warner Bros. Studio and seeing the sets, props, costumes, etc. from the movies. Once the opening talk in the theater is finished, you move through the rest of the site at your own pace. Go early so you can spend as much time as you like in each area!
Not to be missed! If you are a fan of the movies or books this trip is great! We had enough time to see everything and even grab lunch at the end, even tho it was very crowded.
The tour was an amazing experience. Only complaint was we only had about 2 1/2 hours to complete tour as bus left at 5.15.
If you even mildly enjoyed any of the Harry Potter movies, you should visit. If you, like most people, are a huge fan of the series you must turn this into a pilgrimage. You will be blown. a. way!
If you are anything like me and a Harry Potter fan, visiting the Studio and the making of Harry Potter is without hesitation essential. The studio from central London isn't the easiest to get if you don't have a car, so this excursion is one option. After about an hour's drive depending on traffic you arrive at the Studio's. Our driver did give us an interesting narrative of places in London as we were leaving and I did learn one or two new things and also saw a few things I'd never seen in London. Of the tour, I'd recommend you try and avoid peak times/seasons, I visited out of school holiday time and there was still a good 20 minute wait for queuing to get in, due to their staggered timing. This does eat into your allotted 3hrs to 3.5hrs there. There really is so much to see and do inside the studio and it is a fan's dream. Highlights inside are so many, I can't recommend this enough, it is one of the highlights of many London trips and different museum's / exhibitions I've done over the years. You get to see the great hall, Hogwarts express, costumes, props , the Knight Bus, you can try butterbeer etc etc. To be honest 3hrs is just not enough. There are many photo opportunities. The shop can be viewed as pricey, but hey if you are a HP fan, you won't mind too much, its not like you would be visiting and buying from it everyday. If you are a fan, this will be a heavenly, out of the world tour, especially if you get the fullest time there and you aren't rushed.
Parfait !... Mon petit fils était aux anges. Cette visite est aussi agréable pour des adultes qui, comme moi, n'ont pas lu un seul livre ni vu un film Harry Potter. Organisation parfaite
This was one of the highlights of our vacation. As hard core Harry Potter fans, this was an awesome experience....so much to see and so little time! That would be our only complaint....we really needed more than 3 hours to tour the studio and see everything...an extra hour would have been great! If you love Harry Potter, don't miss this tour!
This tour is a must-do for any fan of the Harry Potter movies.
When we arrived at the Victoria Coach Station the bus was easy to find, after one hour of driving we arrived at the studios, where the bus driver instantly got us our tickets.
Although we still had to stand in line for like half an hour before we got to our tour, it actually wasn't even that bad, since the entrance hall already shows some pictures and requisites.
But even though the 150 minutes that are left for the actual tour are enough to see everything- even to buy a butter beer and have some time at time at the souvenir shop-, we still had to hurry a little at some points.
The ride back took about 30 minutes longer since we started at about rush hour the bus took a few more stops there so we even got to get off at Marble Arch which fitted perfectly into our plans.
For my part, I'd take that tour again- any time, since some parts of the exhibition change from time to time.
From time to time it really feels like being in the movies, for example while walking through Diagon Alley.
Definitely THE highlight of my trip to London.
This trip was basically a bus there and back. The driver will let you off at the studio and you will need to assemble 3 hours later. If you feel you will need more than 3 hours, you may wish to take a train and free shuttle instead. : the studio was FANTASTIC i must say!!! super interesting!
The coach ride was great, I loved the tour! I am a huge Harry Potter fan and there was so much to see. I could have stayed hours more. I definitely plan to book this trip again the next time I go to England.
Fabulous experience at Harry Potter Studio, and the bus was very comfortable
Not being a big Harry Potter fan I was not really excited about going on this tour but it was terrific. The behind the scenes information was wonderful. It really makes you appreciate how difficult it is to make a movie of this magnitude. An A for kids of all ages.
Bloody loved it! Have only seen 1 HP movie so I am no expert but it was AMAZING!!! Well worth it
