Why Travelers Choose This Tour

Travelers are allotted four hours for independent explorations: plenty of time to see and do what you wish.
Your visit to the Warner Bros. Studio Tour begins with departure from London by double-decker bus for the 17-mile (27-km) drive from the city to the town of Watford in Hertfordshire, where the studio is located. Hop out of the coach and head inside to immerse yourself in all things Harry Potter.

The Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter allows you to walk around independently to see real sets used in the Harry Potter movies, including the Great Hall and Dumbledore’s office. Check out the storefronts of Flourish and Blotts, Ollivanders wand shop, Gringotts Wizarding Bank, Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes and Eeylops Owl Emporium as you explore Diagon Alley, pretending that Harry, Hermoine and Ron are right by your side.

Learn about the special effects and makeup that brought spells and beloved characters like Dobby to the screen, and see costumes and props used by the actors. Don’t-miss photo ops abound, so don’t forget to charge your camera!

Your experience ends at Platform 9 ¾ , where you can pose with a luggage cart as it disappears into the wall and enjoy an up-close view of the original Hogwarts Express train, whose 78-year-old engine billows steam. Then make the drive back to London to conclude your tour of the magic of moviemaking.

First- Golden Tours was a great option for us. It allowed us to stay in Central London to explore. We then met at a very easy location to find to jump on the double decker bus to the Harry Potter tour. The bus drops you off and then picks you up approx 4 hours later. This was plenty of time to experience the entire tour plus shopping and eating. Now- the Harry Potter tour. It was great! We absolutely loved it and is a must do for any Potter lover. You get to see so many really movie artifacts and there are a couple interaction portions (such as a magic fight with death eaters) for the kiddos. I recommend all around

It is a must for those Harry Potter Fans. I was in awe when I entered the studio.

Great tour! Mostly props, costumes, and recreations of scenes/rooms. The front half takes longer to go through so you can budget more than half your time on the front end and still finish the back-end in time to board the bus. Be warned that some of the items for sale at the store at the Hogwarts Express are NOT offered in the store at the end of the tour. The scale model of the school/castle takes up an entire room and is simply awesome.

Fabulous...highly recommend for all fans: young and old. There were many adults there. We took lots of pictures and enjoyed the butter beer and nice sandwiches at lunch. The time allotted worked out well. I'm so glad we went.

We booked a family ticket with viator. 2 adults and 2 children. However when we got the tickets from the tour operator golden tours we were given infant tickets for our kids which are only valid for under 4s. We had to buy new tickets for the kids when we got to harry potter world. We only booked with Viator because they seemed cheaper than the others. We would not have gone for the full price had we known as it is a rip off. Of course it is impossible to find out how to complain to viator. I would not recommend booking with these people.

You enjoyed this tour at your own pace. Pictures were too pricey

Trip itself is very nice, especially for the Harry Potter fans. Takes over an hour to get there and back with the London's traffic. However time passes by fast as the Harry Potter movie plays all the time. Downside of our trip was weather. It was close to 90 in Farenheit and the air conditioner on the bus could not cool down the second floor properly. Especially that affected as on the way back as we had to seat in the bus over 10 minutes with the engine off and no cooling whatsoever. I had to go and ask driver to start the bus and turn on air. However for some reason he did it only on the second request and than turn it off again in few minutes as we were still waiting for some passengers in the group. Just to be clear the temperature on the second floor of the bus was reaching above 100 degrees on Farenheit...
Again - all this had nothing to do with the Studio itself but more curtacy from the driver would be nice. I understand people in London are not used to hot weather but still...
Another comment is about food. There are two places to get it in the Studio: one right before you enter the exhibition and one like hall way through. We asked the person at the Information desk if they are the same. He said yes. So we decided to eat before entering the exhibition... WRONG! The cafeteria \ restaurant half way through the tour is much nicer, less crowded, Harry Potter themed, had Butterscotch ice cream and drinks, had nice view on Harry Potter's house and 3 level bus, etc. In my opinion this was the place to it - not the basic standard eatery in the main entrance hall...
Otherwise everything else was great. Staff inside of the exhibition was very knowledgeable, going deep in the details on how prompts were designed and built, if you ask them. Kids loved Broom Stick flying green screen experience (kind of expensive after all as each poster or movie cost GBP 20 or 3 items for 50).
Overall trip was nice and I would definitely recommend it if you are into the Harry Potter movies or just into the films production / behind the scene experiences.

The tour is a drive but you get to watch a Harry Potter movie in the bus. If you love Harry Potter you will love this tour.

Got there as it opened, and it was perfect. There's just the opening crowd and no one was lingering from a earlier groups.

The studio was amazing, only wish the tour were a little longer!

Terrific tour. Very Easy. Bus didn't have air conditioning on a very hot day and screen showing Harry Potter kept shutting off. Studio tour was fantastic. I wish there were more food choices at the Studio. We would have had dinner there instead of waiting until 830pm.

Definitely a must do for hardcore Harry Potter fans!

This tour is a must if visiting the greater London area. Best to leave early and avoid the crowds. The tour includes coach transportation to/from the studio with ticket entrance. We did a self-guided tour and had time left for a snack in between the two parts of the studio. A great half-day trip!

Loved it. Would have liked more interactive actual scenes instead of just props. Kids loved seeing all original props.

If you're a Harry Potter fanatic - this is a treasure trove of one of a kind set pieces, costumes and prosthetics...!

Yes, you can book your tickets directly and find your way there - the main purpose of this tour is the ease of accessibility and the transport to the tour venue, which is a bit out of the way.

Also, you'll be surrounded by Potter fans on the bus ride over, and watch the first movie on your way there and your way back.

If you finish earlier than expected as I did - you can catch an earlier bus back...depending on availability, which is fair.
