It's a long travel day, but worth every penny! If you don't have many days in London I highly recommend this tour. The tour guide is extremely knowledgeable and shows you lots of what London has to offer plus you can't beat seeing StoneHenge!
The bus was very comfortable and the tour guide was knowledgeable and witty. This made our day trip the highlight of our two week London vacation. Just the right amount of time was spent at the three destinations: Windsor Castle, Stonehenge and Bath.
Excellent tour for a one-day overview. Our guide, Suzanna, was a perfect match for us. It's a quick, moving tour with the three locations. Some road time to nap. Driver was amazing considering the crowds. We timed Windsor perfectly before the crowds, ending the day at Stonehenge. Recommend this day trip highly.
Was interesting on every level my only complaint was the purple wristbands from Windsor castle that would not come off without scissors felt like a handcuff. Steve and Gary were great.
It's a fairly long day....but other than that a good experience!
We had a very knowledgeable guide who had a pleasant demeanor. He provided a lot of information as we traveled throughout the countryside. We were left pretty much on our own at each site with an audio guide. Each site was great and would have liked more time at each stop but unfortunately that was not possible. Definitely glad that we did the trip!
The tour was great. I had originally booked a small group tour that had subsequently been cancelled. I was then offered the large group tour and was unhappy at the prospect, but I booked it anyway because I might never have the opportunity to see Stonehenge again. With 72 people on the tour, I was shocked at how well it was run. Natalia, the tour guide, and Martin, the driver, were complete professionals. My only complaint was that we weren't able to spend more time in each place. I suppose if it was a smaller group we could have had more time. It also didn't help that there was a small group of tourists on the bus who were always late back, something that Natalia had no control over, and she did her best.
Overall, the trip is very good although a bit more times could be spent at each stop. These somewhat short visits are explained by the distance and therefore the time needed to get from one stop to the next such as the drive from Stonehenge and Bath. The guide and driver were superb. That said, be aware that it is a long day. Mine started at 7am with a pick up at my hotel. However, the actual trip didn't start until 8:30 on a totally different bus. The last leg the trip from Bath to London is long. That wouldn't be so bad if you were taken back to your hotel. Unfortunately, you aren't. You are dropped at Victoria Station and made to find your way back on your own. I got back to my hotel at about 9pm, which made for a 14-hour day.
I liked it but found too much driving for one day and not enough time in each place. Felt a lot of down time for guide - he could have spoken between stops.
The tour is only worth doing if you are time poor and want to tick these three places off. If you went individually to each place, total entry fees are about 55 pounds. so the other 30 pounds is transport. The guide was nice enough but doesn't actually guide you through. You roughly spend about 1.5 hrs at each place. I wish we had more time at Windsor castle as it took about 40 mins to get in. And we were probably the third tour group in line.
You are given audio guides from the Tourist places eg Windsor castle. Kudos to the guide for leaving the latecomers behind. About 40 ppl on the tour and 4 got left behind at Windsor castle the first stop. The rest of us had a pleasant enough trip.
