Whirlwind tour where you'll get to knock out a lot of things on your English bucket list. I was fine with the amount of time at each stop, except I would definitely like to go back to Bath since I did the tour in November and we didn't get there until after it was dark.
This was the best part of our trip! We got to see so much in one day and although we wish we would have had more time to explore in the lovely city of Bath, this tour worked well with our schedule. Funny, but I was debating visiting Windsor castle and it turned out to be my favorite part. Unfortunately, you cannot take pictures inside the actual castle, but it is beautiful and rich with history!
Super liked the trip. It was extremely well managed and we could cover all the 3 locations very comfortably. The guide was well informed and knew his subject well. Very good experience!
Amazing experience! But as our guide said, this trip can only provide a snapshot because you can easily spend a day on each site. It was a long but very educational day.
Great tour!!! Our guide Dominic and our driver were both great
A great trip! We really enjoyed it and our guide was exceptionally knowledgeable and engaging.
The highlight of mine were the ancient Roman baths closely followed by Stonehenge. You don't get too much time at Windsor so potentially stick to the State rooms first..hint hint!
This was a super busy day but worth every minute.
Booking through the Viator app was simple and easy, no issues.
We picked up our coach at Victoria coach station at 8.30am with what seemed to be a thousand other people trying to do the same thing, so plan to get there a little earlier so you can find your coach stand.
Boarding was also easy and our guide was polite, friendly with plenty of amusing stories to supplement his extremely extensive knowledge throughout the day. He provided information not only on the main sights we had booked to visit, but also the surrounding countryside and many buildings along our route as we headed out of London.
First stop was Windsor Castle had to rush here on arrival so keep up as we had to ensure we joined the queue quickly theres a lot of other coach tours accompanying you. The castle were trailing a new queueing system so things were a little confusing but our guide was able to sort everything out quickly and efficiently. Make sure you do the audio tour and pick up your headphones. Saw the changing of the guards, which was ok.
Next stop Bath be advised there isnt a scheduled stop for lunch, so either bring your own packed lunch nothing hot allowed on the coach or be prepared to hunt around in Bath our guide provided info on where to eat.
The roman bath house was very interesting and theres so much to read that youd need a whole day just there but remember this is a whistle-stop tour of 3 sights so be prepared to be a little rushed nevertheless we got about 2 hours here and that was enough for us.
Back on the coach lots more info along the route of the surrounding countryside and other historic buildings Next stop Stonehenge
Again, lots of history and now on its way to being well preserved for many years to come as vehicles are not allowed to drive right up to the stones. You park in the coach parking area and hop on a shuttle bus theres one every few minutes which takes you up to the stones waiting times will probably vary, we had to wait about 15 minutes as there were so many people but thats the luck of the draw.
More information at the stones and a nice walk around them, visit the gift shop on the way back. Back on the coach next stop Victoria coach station.
Got back around 7pm, tired, hungry but very happy and satisfied with day.
It was a fantastic tour, albeit we lost considerable time waiting in queues 40 min to get inside Windsor Castle and another 40 min to view the baths in Bath . Our bus was comfortable and our guide, Richard, was very friendly and knowledgeable and kept us engaged with his stories about each of the 03 sites. We went for this intense tour, knowing fully well, that it will not be possible to get enough of these places, given the distances that we had to cover and the huge crowds after all, we chose to travel in summer , which is the busiest season for sightseeing out here . I especially loved the visit to Stonehenge as well .....all in all, will highly recommend this tour to anyone who is looking to view these beautiful places in 01 day
This tour was very good. It fits a lot into one day so you're always moving. Our guide Adrien was great! Good knowledge and stories. Entertaining. This trip is a great value and gives you a good taste of these three impressive places. Definitely recommend it!
This was a great tour. Our tour guide Jason is a good storyteller. He made our tour more enjoyable. The tour covered all three places really nicely. Jason gave us good information and historical accounts. The Stonehenge was the last attraction. We went there at around 5pm. The weather is generally not cooperative at that time. That's why couldn't enjoy Stonehenge as much. If the tour alters its rout to Windsor, Stonehenge and then Bath, everything will be more enjoyable! Thanks to Jason and Premium tours for making our trip memorable!
It's a long travel day, but worth every penny! If you don't have many days in London I highly recommend this tour. The tour guide is extremely knowledgeable and shows you lots of what London has to offer plus you can't beat seeing StoneHenge!
The bus was very comfortable and the tour guide was knowledgeable and witty. This made our day trip the highlight of our two week London vacation. Just the right amount of time was spent at the three destinations: Windsor Castle, Stonehenge and Bath.
Excellent tour for a one-day overview. Our guide, Suzanna, was a perfect match for us. It's a quick, moving tour with the three locations. Some road time to nap. Driver was amazing considering the crowds. We timed Windsor perfectly before the crowds, ending the day at Stonehenge. Recommend this day trip highly.
Was interesting on every level my only complaint was the purple wristbands from Windsor castle that would not come off without scissors felt like a handcuff. Steve and Gary were great.
Our tour guide was great, full of info which made the drives pass quickly. It is fast paced with a short visit to each sight. Windsor was lovely, Stonehenge intriguing, and Bath fascinating and beautiful. Worth it all
This tour was great. Our tour guide provided lots of information and kept reminding us the must see places.
Visiting three places in a day was a bit rush but our guide managed very well.
I will recommend to do Stonehenge and Bath in one day and Windsor for another day.
We were a bit confused at the coach station in the morning. So many different tours departing around the same time with similar name.
You must get there ahead of time and keep watching not to miss your bus.
We really need about 30 - 60 minutes more at Windsor and Bath. There was plenty of time for Stonehenge. Bus driver and guide were awesome, and the coach ride was pleasant.
Everything was great - the itinerary, our knowledgeable and gracious guide Claudia and our driver John - even though it was a long day. My only complaint was the bus - the seats are too close to each other with as little leg room as an airplane seat. This is difficult particularly when you're on an all day excursion. The wifi was also spotty.
I took this tour July 2017 with tour manager Delisa sp?. The tour ran efficiently Delisa was pleasant and knowledgeable.
However... a few things I wish had been made clear before the trip:
- The tour picks up from the Victoria Coach station-- there are about 6 other tours from the same company that pick up at the same time, all with similar names. The staff was helpful, but the pick up was a bit chaotic. Just be aware of the actual title and number of your tour.
-This is not an intimate, small group guided tour. There were about 50 people on our bus.
-This is very fast-paced sightseeing. For instance, we had about 90 minutes at Widsor Castle and were encouraged to spend some of our allotted time picking up lunch/snacks to eat on the bus there's no formal lunch stop on this tour. This was just enough time to go through the audio tour of the apartments, see the changing of the guard, and grab sandwiches from a shop. I would recommend bringing lunch with you, so you can spend more time at the sites and exhibits.
-Again, this is super fast-paced with loooong drives between the sites. You could easily spend a day at Windsor and Bath, and half a day exploring Stonehenge. This isn't a criticism-- just go into the day aware that you are only getting a taste of these sites.
It is disappointing that the tour guide did not provide any guiding at any of the destination but instead we have to rely on the audio guide. The tour was run in a very efficient way though. The destinations are amazing. I wish that the tour bus can drive around Bath more.
Due to the winter, we did not get to Bath until the sun set so did not get to see as much of it as we would have liked. Otherwise, Windsor and Stonehenge was terrific, and the guide was entertaining.
It's a fairly long day....but other than that a good experience!
