We met our guide and walked to the tour area. It was very interesting and our guide was extremely knowledgeable. His father was one of the 13who died on Bloody Sunday. I highly recommend it

One of the best tours and tour guides I have been involved with. This tour was done with the Derry Walls Private Walking Tour, and was an amazing day. Gleann was very passionate about his city and talked through the historical reasons for the conflict, as well as explaining what life was like in this part of Northern Ireland during the Troubles and the ongoing realities of that history and the peace process faced today. Highly recommended.

Cross-posting our review from TripAdvisor as we purchased through Viator. We are a husband and wife couple who went on a tour with Gleann about a month ago. Gleann's background and education in Irish history was a particularly impressive feature of the tour. He was able to provide the historical context to the conflict that eventually boiled over into The Troubles period after Bloody Sunday. I will say that I've gone on many walking tours, including several in NI, but I've never encountered someone with a formal education in the area that they're providing a tour of--Gleann has that. He also fielded a wide range of questions that we posed to him that spanned both the period of time covered by the tour and outside of this--he is very knowledgeable about the history of Ulster in general and Derry in particular. We thoroughly enjoyed this tour and were very impressed by his range, his storytelling ability, and his thoroughly personable nature. 5 stars, loved it, would recommend to anyone going to Ireland. This tour alone is worth a stopover in Derry if you're on the fence about going there.

Gleane was a great guide. He was very personable and knew so much about the history of the Sunday massacre and Bogside Murals. This tour is worth the trip to Derry! A highlight for us that I would highly recomend to others!

Deeply profound and moving experience. Gleann was tremendous. His deep knowledge of Irish history, combined with his personal experience and connection to Bloody Sunday, was a powerful combination for a real, no holes barred account of what really took place and where the city is today. Gleann was funny, thoughtful, and generous with his time. Highly recommended for anyone interested in The Troubles, and/or just touring the area on vacation. Easy walk, highly informative and conversational. Along with historical recounting of the events/background of Bloody Sunday, Gleann's explanation on symbolism and meaning of each political mural was fascinating. Being of Irish descent, this was extremely emotional and the pinnacle of my trip tracing my Irish heritage in NI. My heart swelled with horror, pride and honor. Thanks to Gleann for such a wonderful and informative tour.
