  • Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in with your guide. There are other guests on the LA tour and we can not wait for latecomers.
  • We’ll be walking 3.5 miles (5.6 km) along what is widely considered to be an easy to moderate Hollywood Sign hiking trail
  • Closed-toe shoes are required and layers are recommended
  • Not wheelchair accessible
  • Service animals allowed
  • Near public transportation
  • No heart problems or other serious medical conditions
  • Young children welcome but should be able to hike on their own.
  • Guests must provide their own water on this tour.
  • Guests joining this tour should be in good health, with a beginner to intermediate fitness expectation on this Los Angeles tour
  • Travelers should have a moderate physical fitness level
  • Guests should not have a fear of heights, and should not be afraid to break a sweat on this Hollywood Hills Tour
  • Children under 2 years old are free. For this hike tour, children should be 5+ years of age, and able to hike. For guests traveling with younger children/strollers, we recommend our express Hollywood Sign Tour
  • Guests must provide their own water for this Hollywood Hills tour. We recommend that guests bring 2 bottles of water, and to hydrate before, during, and after the Griffith Observatory Hollywood Sign Hike, especially important in the warm summer months!

I do not recommend that route if you are also afraid of heights.
This hike is advertised as being “easy to moderate.” I would definitely say it is more like moderate to difficult, so be prepared for that.

We were lucky enough to be guided by Katie. Top class, dropped so much knowledge about LA, historical landmarks, secrets and tales! I even boosted to my local friend afterwards and she did not know any of this even though she was born and raised in Manhattan beach.

Our guide Christopher was very kind and knowledgeable. He shared some interesting facts about LA. He brought water and sunscreen for us and was a great photographer.

Emily our guide was awesome, fun and so informative! The entire hike was so amazing! The sights you could see from all vantage points was also incredible! Highly recommend, take water!!

We had a fantastic time on our hike with our guide Emily. She was delightful, had super interesting facts about LA and the landscape, and went at a nice pace for the people in our group who needed more breaks. The hike itself was not that difficult. Definitely had some parts that got your heart rate up but it mostly was more leisurely. 10/10 would recommend!

As we were unsure the best route to take for a hike we decided we would go for a guide. And it was the best decision we could of made. Our guides name was Emily, and she was amazing. From filling us in with great information about LA, from making us laugh and making the the hike a lot more enjoyable, she really made the experience. The hike itself was breathtaking and easily the coolest thing we done in our time in LA. I highly recommend doing this.

Emily was the best!!! She shared her knowledge of LA history with anecdotes of different movie stars the Hollywood sign She made sure we all got the best pictures!! It was not only a great hike but Emily made it better with her fun commentary And her love of what she does!

It was a really beautiful hiking tour. Chris our guide was great, he knew some secret spots for an fantastic view over Los Angeles he also told us a lot about the city. He always took care of us, I really recommend this tour, it was really beautiful.

This is a real hike not a stroll.. it’s steep & it’s hot in August so be prepared.. we loved it! Good number in the group, Chris set a good pace… & you got a good orientation to LA..

Eric M was a great guide and really added value to the experience. Knowledgable, articulate and helpful at all times, he makes a great story teller...even helped us out with a lift to thecstation at the end. The only reason I gave the visit 4 and not 5 stars is because the expectation for vacine evidence was not made clear, nothing to with Eric but UK kids only have paper evidence which we did not take. Apart from that fantastic.

First let me say this... If! you are second guessing if you should take the tour, let me assure you it is worth every penny. Myriam was such a treat as a tour guide, she made the tour exciting while providing a little history lesson. She was attentive and provided snacks as my group trekked up the mountain. I hope Myriam makes it on the big screen and it is everything that she hopes and dreams. Until next time!!!

Miriam was amazing - so knowledgeable and kind. She made the trip incredibly memorable. Miriam made sure that everyone was physically well during the hike and she allowed us to provide direction on what we wanted from the day. I would highly recommend Miriam.

My family and I had a great time with our guide Noel. She told us interesting facts and information not only about Mountain Hollywood but of the Los Angeles area. She was also very motivating to keep on going up the mountain which was difficult at time.

Erick Martinez was the best guide! Funny and interesting historical stories filled our morning hike. The observatory was educationally cool. We also took Erick’s recommendation for a nearby restaurant after (Stamp) and it was super yummy. Great introduction to LA for me and the kiddos.

Learning about the observatory and the park is a must for a proper LA City tour, it's like not mentioning Central Park in NYC! This was a slightly more challenging hike than we anticipated, but the 2 mile hike up was worth it for the views. Miriam was a great guide; she was friendly, knowledgable and took care of everyone in the group. If you're happy to hike up 2 miles of Hills then you'll enjoy this tour!

Erik Martinez gave a wonderful tour filled with lots history about the Hollywood Sign and Griffith Observatory and plenty of opportunities to take pictures and take in the view along the way! He also gave tips and tricks about staying in LA and provided many safety instructions to the group. I was nervous to hike alone, but the tour was friendly and engaging and I had a great time meeting new people! This was a 10/10 experience and I would definitely do it again!
