This was a really great day out. Although my friend and I found it pricey 320 for two people, we had a full 7 hours out on the road and Charlie, our guide, was great fun and got into the swing of our banal and often base British banter - ask for Charlie if you decide to go for this!!
Starting from West Hollywood we hit the climbs of Bel-Air Fresh Prince fans this is the one for you! and Beverly Hills yup, 90210. The hills were testing and you will need to have a modicum of fitness to enjoy it. We visited a huge mansion sitting on the top of a hill that I can't remember the name of but it was cool. We learnt that LA sits on large amounts of oil and much skulduggery happened with people trying to get control of it. Charlie has the lowdown and can give you all of the exciting juicy gossip.
We then descended through Brentwood towards Santa Monica, along the beach into Venice. We did our best not to inhale the copious wafts of weed fumes blowing out of Venice but you soon get a feel for the place when you stop for lunch - laid back, hippy and chilled. Fun.
We then rode off to Marina del Ray and up through teh Venice canals. Then onto some wetlands that had some significance but now escapes me. I'm sure it was interesting at the time. We then headed back to West Hollywood, stopping for a drink on the way back.
Altogether, a jolly good day out and thoroughly recommended.
My suggestion to The Ultimate Los Angeles Bike Tour is to offer discounts for two or more booking together. The pricing I imagine would pretty much exclude many families who would love to sign up but simply couldn't afford 600 for a family of four.
Peace and Love
Fantastic way to see the city and Danny, our tour guide, was really knowledgeable and informative. We got to see so much and we really enjoyed the ride (even the hills). Would highly recommend! An added bonus was a delicious lunch (extra cost) on Venice Beach. Thank you so much Bikes and Hikes :)
Brilliant way to see LA . Our guides Angie and Charlie were superb , great knowledge and an easy going nature added to the experience . It is impossible to see so much on any other form of transport . A must do a moderate level of fitness and knowledge of using a bike with gears is advantageous as some hills , but plenty of stops
Exciting romp through the hot spots of west LA. Much more satisfying than a lame paparazzi bus tour. You'll be able to savor the locations and views of the cityscape with the pride of accomplishment after your 32-mile journey. Expect celebrity homes, culturally diverse neighborhoods, ocean-side parks, and criminally-overlooked landmarks, all framed within fascinating historical perspective. If you can, request a tour with Taylor. You'll be glad you did.
Excellent trip - thoroughly recommend it and led by a great guide Jonno.
Although quite a long and strenuous ride it was a great way to see the sights. Our guide, Jordan was knowledgeable, friendly, accommodating and very thoughtful. The group we went with was lots of fun.
What a fantastic tour. It was so much better than the LA City Tour. A great way to experience LA. I definetly recommend it.
I absolutly loved it. I also did a city tour by bus but this was so much better.
I cannot recommend this tour enough, couldn't fault the experience in any way!!!!!!!
DO IT!! Fantastic way to see LA and so much more than you'll get sitting on a bus tour of the manor awesome!.
Absolutely amazing tour, a certain level of fitness is required but truly worth it. Thank you.
I would highly recommend the Ultimate Bike Tour as a brilliant way to see Los Angeles.
It was well organised by the company and our guide was knowlegable and entertaining.
A very pleasant way to spend a day!
Fantastic tour. Brian was the perfect guide, knowledgeable he grew up in LA and good company. He made sure we all got round safely too, which was nice considering the unfamiliar to us Brits rules of the road. Would definitely recommend it as a way to get to know LA, and you cover a surprising amount of it on the tour.
Great experience!! Our tour guide Erick was an expert and kept us safe everytime. I recommend this tour 100, it is the best way to visit LA.
Great tour... The beginning with the climbs is a bit tough, but its worth it. You have a nice view from Greystone Mansion, overall really nice sights you would not see otherwise. Our guide JS was very knowledgeable and entertaining, also made clear and easy to follow security briefings. I would recommend this tour highly, great experience.
This was an awesome way to get a good workout and see the parts of LA that you won't be able to see on a regular bus tour. Our tour guide Steve was very knowledgeable and very helpful. He was patient and made sure everyone was well hydrated and was with the group. He gave us important information about areas we were riding in for our safety car traffic. He was a great tour guide and I would definitely do this again.
My guide Dave, was so informed and safety conscious. This is not a soft ride though compared to other cities offering like yours.
It's a must tour to do,35 miles on a bike is the only way to see all of la,places I would never have got to seen otherwise! The tour guide was very informative and knowledgeable of the area!
This bike tour was the best ever and totally changed our first impression of LA! Whitney, our guide was outstanding, set a great pace and gave us a real tour. We loved it! Lunch at Venice Beach was the icing on the cake! The bikes were awesome also!
I've seen all of LA within one day, It's amazing, but you have to be in a good shape.
This trip is fantastic. My wife and I was surprised that the trip went ahead despite only 2 of us. Eric, our guide, was very understanding and helpful as we tagged along. Eric is very knowledgable and able to share many things with us along the way.
The only thing that we felt could be better is to factor in some time at Santa Monica pier for exploration. Otherwise, it's a perfect way to see Los Angeles. Highly recommended
A great way to see the Los Angeles area! Except for the hilly Beverly Hills it was quite an easy ride, and we made lots of stops for drinking water and taking photos. The tour guide, Nate, was friendly and informative and took good care of me when I embarrassed myself by falling off my bike. I would recommend this tour to anyone who likes biking.
