What You Can Expect

Los Cabos Arch and Playa del Amor Tour by Glass-Bottom Kayak

Kayak and snorkel off the Sea of Cortez

Meet your driver at your Los Cabos hotel or cruise ship pier and begin your oceanic odyssey to Medano Beach. The beach is an ideal vantage point to gaze at the iconic El Arco (The Arch), a rugged collection of jagged rocks that protrude dramatically from the calm ocean.

Sink your toes into the silken sands of the beach and listen to an informative safety talk from your experienced guide. Once you’ve grasped basic paddling techniques, don your life jacket and snorkeling gear and set sail in your glass-bottomed kayak.

Follow your guide as you maneuver Land’s End, the blissful bay where many of Los Cabos’ legendary landmarks reside. Admire pelicans and diverse sea birds as they soar past, not forgetting to gaze through the transparent boat bottom at shimmering schools of exotic fish. Keep your eye out for the manta rays and sea turtles that also inhabit the waters and paddle past the colony of sea lions lying languidly upon the sun-drenched rocks.

Gain insight into local ecology and geology as you cruise past El Arco to the secluded Playa del Amor, a romantic and remote beach accessible only by water. Enjoy dramatic vistas of sea-sculpted boulders as you sail past the landmark.

Arrive at Pelican’s Rock and dock your kayak in order to immerse yourself in the beautiful waters of the bay. Slip on your snorkeling gear and set off in search of lobsters, angelfish, puffers and schools of stingrays.

Return to your kayak and paddle over the picturesque Playa del Amor for a serene stroll and light snack. Absorb the tranquil atmosphere before sliding back into your kayak for the return journey to Medano Beach to board your minivan and venture back to your hotel or cruise ship port in comfort.

I was the only one on the tour so it was myself and the instructor. It was wonderful and we were surrounded by numerous fish.

We had a wonderful time! The school of seals had swam over to the rocks next to the arch and were serenading us while we were kayaking around the arch. Our guide took lots of pics with our own cell phone and we had the best snorkeling experience ever in our lives. The best view of the fish and fish turnout around the rocks, it was beautiful. Our only drawback was I have a muscle disability, I should have planned this after a day of rest. My husband had to do most of the rowing. Did alot of paddling. This was awesome!!! Very limited number of people helped.

The tour guide Efram was so kind and thorough. I am 67 and had a upset stomach prior to launching the kayak's. Hence, I had an extremely difficult time in keeping up with the younger group that accompanied us on the journey. However, Efram did not rush us and encouraged us to only go as fast as we felt comfortable in doing. He was very informative about the area and the perfect guide for Old Farts like my wife and I. He was spectacular.

Absolutely perfect! Sergio was so friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about all things ocean. He took the most perfect picture of us and taught us all about the ocean currents and the area's history. The pick up and drop off from the hotel made it so convenient and effortless. I watched another couple from our hotel with another company, their guide sat on the kayak while they snorkled, dropped them off then went to park, Sergio was able to park right on the beach, and their guide didn't seem to care about making it memorable, Sergio made us feel like we were watching the travel channel special. Thanks Sergio!

This tour as amazing! The tour guides were a lot of fun and were very knowledgable of the area. They would stop to let everyone take photos accordingly and I really felt I got my money's worth from this tour.
