This was a great trip and was very well handled by the actual service provider. We had upgraded our trip to Superior and they put us in some excellent hotels at each location. Grace and Margarita were both very good guides and were very helpful too. Local guides at different locations were very good as well. The coach provided all through was very comfortable indeed.
The places and sites were absolutely gorgeous and wondrous, our tour guides were amazing and our family including three teenage daughters had the time of our lives! The accommodations were great and we took advantage of the optional activities, which really enriched our experience. I highly recommend this tour.
This tour, especially the Moroccan part, was a trip of a lifetime. Our guides were superb and our local guides in each city made the cities come alive.
In theory this tour works - but you do spend a lot, and I mean a lot of time on the bus travelling to different destinations! Especially in Morocco - the time spent getting to the ferry, waiting for it to depart and then subsequent travel takes hours and I mean at least 8 hrs!!! This is not clear in the tour description. Be aware that you will end up being a part of 3 different tour groups and that if you are a solo traveler this is hard if you make friends and they are on the not on the next part of the tour. Also listening to everyone in Spanish, French then English is tiring after the first day.
Marrakech and Granada are the highlights of this trip. Also the guide you get plays a role in your level of enjoyment!
I signed up for an English tour - what I thought was one tour - not a patchwork of three tours. What happened really. The first leg of the trip was delightfully small, with a great guide and for all practical purposes an English tour with one couple who could only speak Spanish. The middle section - a totally different group that had been contracted out to a Moroccan organization, was a Spanish tour in which I was the only English speaking participant. The guide on the bus was unfriendly and hated to be asked questions - an administrator at heart. He did provide some local speaking English guide and they were not good. The exception was in Rabat, an excellent bilingual guide. It was a very lonely and sometimes unsettling experience. For the final two days, I was downloaded into another tour. A tri-lingual tour. The guides worked hard. I signed up for an English tour which it was not. I signed up for one tour - not three. The tour was misrepresented to me. I have told people never to take this tour.
