In advance of your departure time from Madrid, enjoy a convenient transfer service from your hotel before boarding an air-conditioned coach destined for your first stop, Avila.

Following a 1.5-hour drive, you’ll disembark and begin a walking tour of Avila. Cover historical highlights including the beautifully preserved Walls of Avila and the grand Avila Cathedral, Spain’s first Gothic cathedral. See, too, Avila Plaza Mayor before continuing your journey to Segovia, a fascinating city awarded World Heritage status by UNESCO.

On arrival, you’ll head straight to a local restaurant to enjoy the lunch option selected at booking. Enjoy either one typical tapa, accompanied by wine, or sample traditional Spanish fare with a veal and white bean stew or indulge yourself with the gourmet option of roasted suckling pig, sweet cake, and wine.

Then, pay a visit to two of Segovia’s architectural jewels — Segovia Cathedral and the Alcázar of Segovia — before returning to your original departure point in Madrid by air-conditioned coach.

We enjoyed the tour and seeing the cathedral and historic locations. The tour lasted all day and was a bit long.

I can't' say enough good things about Trapsatour and our guide Javier. Javier was fluent in multiple languages, most notably Spanish and English. He was able to easily give the tour in both languages. However, he was happy to have me test my Spanish skills by listening to his Spanish explanations and then asking him questions when I had them. He was very knowledgeable about the history and culture of Avila and Segovia. We visited many sites and even had some free time for shopping on our own. I would highly recommend Trapsatour and Javier.

Raphael was a great guide the only con I would say is that he needs to understand the group is not only interested in the history portion however also would like to take pictures. Give the group maybe 5min to say take pictures then we must stay on timetable and move on. In a split second we lost the group and view of the crypts. Either way it was excellent and worth going on this tour. We would do this again.

The tour itself is great. Wished we had more time to take pics of the outside wall at Avila. There was a 15 min rest stop before going in. The guide isn't clear that this is your only time. Segovia was great.

However, we booked the Lunch upgrade. Lunch was awful. Save your money and do it on your own.

If you're picked up at your hotel, you will not be dropped off at the end. This is clear in the booking itself. But several people didn't read the fine print and were upset that they needed to take a cab back.

Informative trip and we were lucky to have a small group for this trip

Thoroughly enjoyed the tour and lunch. We did not expect the tour to be bi-lingual so it took a little longer than we expected. Our tour guide was wonderful and very friendly and helpful.

Great tour guide. A great tour

The places we saw are really great, it worth the trip! The travel guide as well.
Now the require improvement part:
They came to pick us up from the hotel 1 hour before, with a big bus for two people..and then we had to sit and wait for 45 minutes for te departure. If this detail would have been stated, we would have chosen to come by our self's at the departure point, not to waste this much time.
We chose the tapas option, with the ideea to order a la carte from the restaurant during lunch. Well...this wasn't possible, because the people with lunch were in a different place than the people with tapas the bar waiter from the tapas place, very rude
Not enough free time to be able to enjoy a coffee or some souvenir shopping.

This was an outstanding tour. The tour guide and the bus driver were very friendly. They kept the tour moving alot but we did not feel rushed. We would definitely book through them again.

While Segovia and Avila were both beautiful places, my biggest complaint was the tour guide. He was nice, but spent maybe a third of the time speaking English and much more time speaking Spanish. He took us to a cafe where they did not take credit cards and didn't give a warning or help us order anything in Spanish. If it hadn't been for a very kind man on the tour with us, I would have had to walk out without paying. For the English people on the tour, I very much felt that he sort of forgot he had us with him. Lunch that was included was merely two slivers of potato omelette and a coffee for both of us. Also, the tour guide emphasized we be back at the bus at 4:30 we didn't bother going on the tour in Segovia because he was barely translating anything for us. Mom and I literally ran down the street thinking we'd be left behind and lo and behold, we were the first ones at the bus at 4:35. We waited over half an hour for anyone to show up and when we asked why he was late, he simply said they had issues at the fortress. We had hotel pickup extremely early since we waited around the tour office for almost an hour and then at the end of the day, the bus dropped us off in the middle of the Plaza de Espana in the pouring rain. It didn't make any sense. The operation was very disorganized and I wish I had just stayed in Madrid for the day.
