It started out as a rainy morning but we did the bike ride anyway! Our guide, Job, was awesome!! Like a private tour as only myself and my daughter were on the ride. Job provided so many fascinating tidbits of Madrid history and he gave us so many awesome tips on areas to visit and good places to eat!! Definitely recommend for first time visitors to Madrid!

This was an excellent, fun and relaxing tour. l wish we had done this tour during the beginning of our two week stay in Madrid. Our tour guide, Job, was excellent. He gave us information and advice on restaurants, cafes, tipping and customs. I learned a lot of unique and not well known things about Madrid that I did not get on the Hop-on Hop-off tours. The bike ride was not strenuous and we got through the streets and crowds alright. Our stop at Retiro Park for a drink was enjoyable and nice to talk to Job and the other riders about their life, work and trip highlights. I definitely recommend taking this bike tour.

This is a safe and intimate way to get acquainted with this iconic cosmopolitan city with an informative guide. Easy biking even for novices.

Our group of 4 sixty year Olds booked this tour based on the reviews describing this tour as a leasurly bike ride with limited hills and back streets through Madrid. We are 4 casual but experienced riders. Our wife's have done 30 mile benefit rides and the guys more than double that. That being said, this was the bike ride from HELL.
We found ourselves on a 3 hr ride on extremely busy Madrid main streets with cars, busses, motorcycles, and taxis. It was obvious by the locals comments and hand gestures that they did not appreciate the tour being on their busy streets. At times the bike lane was a traffic lane with cars on one side of us and busses on the other.
We also road on cobblestone back streets and plazas that required us to dodge the heavy pedestrian traffic.
Several times the inclines were severe enough that it required our wives to stop and walk their bikes.
This tour should not be recommended to older, less experienced riders, or people with younger children.
Would love to share photos but as our portion of the group fell behind we did not have time to take any when the guide briefly stopped to talk about something.
Ours wives told us that they would have quit and walked back to the bike shop but they had no idea where we were. WOULD HIGHLY NOT RECOMMEND unless the riders are very experienced and in good physical condition. Would give this tour a 0 if I could.
That being said, I must ack. That Viator did reimburse us 50 of the cost.
Initially the company that gave the tour advised that because we completed the ride we would not be compensated even though the tour was not as described.
I truly question all the positive reviews that never mentioned all of the negative aspects of this tour.

Not fond of biking in a big city with all the traffic.
However 3/4 of the ride was on bike lanes or in the park.
The group of 16 is too large to manage safely.
I would suggest limiting the tour to 8 people and start @ 10 am.

This bike tour of Madrid was a great way to see this wonderful city and all it has to offer. You do not need to be a everyday cyclist to manage these bikes or follow the group through the streets, as many smaller streets were taken for this tour. Our guide Giza was a great guide- giving information about Madrid's history and culture but also what else to see in Madrid. The tour brings you to the place, Jewish Quarter and to Retrio Park- were you get to relax have a coffee and take in the beutiful surroundings. A nice way to spend the moring in Madird! I would recommend it to anyone of all ages and abilties to do while in Madrid.

I did enjoy this bike tour. It's certainly not a difficult route, and as all the great things to see in Madrid are centrally located, it's very doable. Our guide was very knowledgeable and personable.

The bikes are ok. I wish they hadn't had the reverse foot brake in addition to the hand brakes.
