The guide was entertaining and extremely knowledgeable. He was familiar with many of the owners of the shops. It was fantastic to visit the non-tourist spots. His knowledge of history of the area was phenomenal. He offered a wide variety of experiences. He spoke very clear English but could have also done it in Spanish w/o difficulty The food and drink experiences were nicely varied and plentiful. Wear comfortable shoes, you owe it to yourself so that you can enjoy every minute because it is well worth it. He can appeal to all age groups.

You'd do well to take this tour to better appreciate being in Madrid. It was a wonderful overview of Spanish culture and history. Our guide was Daniel Beers who was as familiar as any American friend that you may have and as aware as the native Spaniard that he is. He gave us brief, interesting histories of Madrid with every palace, plaza and place of interest he took us to see. There were 8 in our group. We ate like locals as we hopped from eatery to eatery and ended the evening with a nice light dinner around the table of a local restaurant.

This tour was fantastic! A small group around 12 people, and the guide was so funny! He had some interesting insides and storys. The restaurants were amazing and the food was fun, tasteful and the bear/vine was so nice, and the Scottish ascent of our guide was so fun to listen to in Spain!

This trip was more informative than I thought it would be, much more than just a food tour. But the food was delicious and we all had a wonderful time. Highly recommended.
