less expensive and large group but totally adequate for a day trip to Toledo
It was a good and convienient way to visit Toledo. Very good
This tour was amazing!
This was a fantastic tour and our guide Mayte was very good as well. Toledo is a beautiful area and I would recommend seeing it for the full day to better be able to appreciate all it offers. We considered the half day but ended up staying all day. We felt the half day would be too rushed an we were glad we stayed longer.
This tour was amazing!
Timely, comfortable bus ride. Probably only complaint would be that we were dropped off at a different location than pick-up, making it a 20 minute walk to our hotel.
The tour guides were great, but the buses ran late. We were picked up 20 minutes late from Plaza del Sol and then had to wait 30 minutes for our 18:45 bus back to Madrid from Toledo.
Our guide did not have a good command of English, was not very accommodating or friendly and smoked whenever possible. Would abe helpful to provide better maps of Toledo for those of us going on our own. We were happy to depart from our guide.
We chose the Toledo your own way option for 3 pm. We were picked up at our hotel at 2 :10 pm. Due to other pickups and a technical stop at a souvenir store we did not arrive in Toledo until 5 pm. As the bus was leaving to go back at 7 pm that left us 2 hours to explore Toledo. By this time many of the stores and attractions were on the verge of closing. The bus was late picking us up. After further drop offs we were finally at Gran Via our stop at 9 pm. The staff was friendly and the bus driver did an amazing job driving through the twists and turns of Madrid.
My boyfriend and I paid to take the bus without a tour guide. We paid about 48.00 roundtrip for both of us. Having a tourguide would have cost double and honestly, we like to be on our own to explore. The roundtrip price was completely worth it. We spent 3 hours wandering the street of Toledo. We took the afternoon tour which left at 3:00pm and returned back at 8:00pm. We enjoyed ourselves, wandering the streets. However, because we did not arrive in Toledo until 5:00pm, many things were closed including the Cathedral. Had I to do over again, I would have taken the 9:00am tour to experience more things being open.
Overall, I would take a day trip to Toledo from Madrid...its worth it :
