We were very impressed with our Amigo Tour guide Irene. We really appreciated the depth of her knowledge in Art - both traditional and modern. We normally do not understand Modern Art so much but she made it really very informative at the Reina Sofia that we could understand the meaning and nuances of the paintings and were able to appreciate the same. This is exactly the reason why we take the tours rather than just walk through the museum which will be totally worthless without these inputs from the guides. So thank you Irene , thank you Amigo and Viator !!
The early access tour was wonderful. Our guide conducted the tour in English and was outstanding in his knowledge an expertise of the art, the culture and most important the context in history. seamless. His tour was informative, funny and totally enjoyable. All questions asked were addressed in both languages one of the members also spoke Spanish and he never skipped a beat. I would definitely book again with Viator and the local company Amigo Tours. Thank you for a wonderful time.
Highly recommended! I prefer going to museums with a guide because I feel like I can appreciate the art better when I know the story/history behind them. Prado museum is simply impressive, too bad photos weren't allowed. Our guide was very good at explaining the art and the history.
Fascinante , si estas en Madrid es obligatorio visitar el museo Del Prado , nuestra guía tenia un conocimiento del arte increíble ...
The tour for prado museum was very educational and nice, we could have a overview of all master works. Exactly what i expected. Unfortunately, because the holiday reina sofia museum was closed!
We very much enjoyed this tour of both museums. It definitely was the best choice for us given the limited time we had available to us.
Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and informative and we learnt a lot.
The tour was excellent and well-organized. Our guide did a wonderful job.
Our tour guide was great. She was informative and was able to steer us through the crowds at both museums.
This was exactly what we were looking for -- the highlights of both museums and not too overwhelming. I wish I had done something like this when I went to the Lourve in Paris.

The Prado is a world class, top 10 art museum!
Our guide, Kahn, was excellent. He knew the museum and the art and in the limited time available made sure we saw all of the most famous and recognized pieces. Unfortunately our schedule did not permit us to see everything, but I doubt you could see even half the collection in a full day.
TIP: If you do the morning tour you can get your ticket stamped at the education desk near the entrance/exit and return later in the day.
If you like museums and art, we would highly recommend this tour. We had an excellent tour guide who had an amazing amount of knowledge. This is a long tour and there is a lot of standing, so it is tiring. But the art is really world class and a must-see for art lovers. We walked from the Prado to the Reina Sofia and the tour ended around 2 p.m. So we were pretty hungry when it was done, but, yes, it was worth it!!!
Tour guide Anna hope I got her name right was terrific! She knows art and art history. She not only described the works but provided insight and historical context. Recommend this tour and her highly.
If you have little time in Madrid, this is great by way of introduction to these two important museums. Minerva, our guide, was very good--her background as a student of Art History was definitely a plus. Needless to say we saw the highlights. If you get your ticket to El Prado stamped before leaving you may return later, which is exactly what we did. Highly recommend this tour.
We could of spent all day on these two museums. Just saw amazing art that we've only seen on TV or in books. The Prado was my favorite of the two and Reina Sofia was favorite of my husband. Tour guide was excellent. Viator just does top of the line tours.
The guides have such a deep understanding of the history that they lend a lot of fulfillment to the Museum tour. Just terrific!
Most enjoyable tour with guide ? Alfonso? Was very passionate guide.

This guided tour was fantastic. The guide made the trip and unfortunately I cant remember her name. She was an art history graduate and her explanation and knowledge was great. Initially thought we were missing bits out but the way the tour developed made a lot of things clearer for a non art person and broke down the stereotypes of modern art. Well worth it!
Amazing, excellent. a little short of time but if you don't have to much time this tour gives you a great idea of what the El Prado and Reina Sofia museums have as treasure. The guide Irene, 10 stars for her. thank you!!!. She is passionate and she has a great knowledge of what she is explaining. She was very attentive to any question of the members of the group.
Excellent tour. We've used the skip the line tours before and highly recommend as they always make it easy. Well guided tour. Very good overview of each museum and both tours moved along at a good pace. The guide was most knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor. Highly recommend it if you are interested in the museums.
