Our guide was spectacular and very helpful as my knees are bad so walking stairs is hard. We learned so much and had a great 4 hour tour.

Juan was right on time with the pick up, and was very informative and friendly on the drive to Alhambra, and particularly astute to my wife’s interest in plants. Fatmi was sensational as our tour guide. His knowledge of the logistics and construction of Alhambra were broad and deep. his knowledge of the religion what is likewise. He also took great care to accommodate my mobility issues. Simply outstanding! We cannot say enough good about him. Juan returned us to our cruise ship with an alternative route, so we got a broader view of the countryside. He also gave us a stellar recommendation for lunch. This experience could not have been any better!

Wonderful Trip to Alhambra

Our driver arrived early and was very pleasant (and had great information to share) on the drive to Alhambra. Once at the Alhambra, we were easily passed off to our tour guide where we had the most wonderful 3 hour tour. We were able to skip all the lines and had flexibility on when we went into the palace (usually a timed entry). Our tour guide shared great information with us and kept us moving along at a nice pace. We were handed back off to our driver who took us into Granada where we had a couple of hours for lunch before returning to Malaga. The only thing I would say to improve the trip would be to allow for more time in Granada. We really only had time for lunch. Our driver was very kind and gave us some extra time to shop, but we definitely went over the time we were supposed to have the driver. Highly recommend this tour!

Fascinating tour of the Alhamra and Granada

We highly recommend this private tour with Apartrip to experience the wonder of the Alhamra Palace and Generalife Gardens. Hiring this company made the whole process simple. We were well taken care of from the moment we registered for the tour, with great communication. They got the much sought-after tickets for us, and arranged for our driver, and our excellent local guide, who expertly led us through the fascinating and enormous complex. Our driver, Eduardo, confirmed our departure point and time the night before the tour. He picked us up on time right at our Airbnb in Fuengirola and even thought to make sure we had our passports with us before we left. Eduardo was pleasant and polite, and talked with us about the beautiful landmarks we saw as we made our way up into the mountains on the drive to Granada. He described the overview for the day, and after a very comfortable drive, Eduardo introduced us to our local guide for the Alhambra, Fatmi. Fatmi was so knowledgeable about the Alhambra and grounds. He went at our pace, encouraging us to ask questions, and provided us with so much information about the history and culture of the site. He really helped us understand the complicated story of the site from its first residents through to the present day. He pointed out the art and architecture and uses for each of the buildings, towers, bridges, walls, fountains, etc., explaining how their uses changed as the site was conquered and buildings were taken over and modified by different powers. We can't express what a wonderful experience it was to learn from Fatmi about that amazing place. Having our personal tour guide helped us get the most out of our visit. The three hours went by so quickly, and we were amazed how much we learned during our tour with Fatmi. After the tour, Fatmi led us back to where Eduardo was waiting for us. Eduardo took us on a wonderful tour of the historic center of Granada, pointing out important buildings. We loved seeing the cathedrals and mosques, the ancient gate to the city, etc. Then he took us to Albayzín. He promised us stunning views, and he was right! We had some free time to take pictures. We were impressed that he could drive skillfully through the narrow, picturesque, winding streets. Then we went to Old Town in Granada, and had about an hour to explore around the Cathedral and Royal Chapel area. Eduardo made sure we knew exactly where to meet him after our free time. We appreciated his level of professionalism. When you only have one day to see a beautiful place like Granada, hiring this company makes the adventure stress-free, and you get the most out of your limited time there, with all the logistics being taken care of by their top-notch staff.

Jose[Pepe] picked us up at the Malaga port as promised. The ride was 1 1/2 hours, but Jose was very imformative along the way. Once at Alhambra, we met our guide Fatmi. He was incredible!! He was so knowledgeable and spoke 5 languages. we are in our 70's and the walk could be demanding at times, but Fatmi allowed us to set the pace and allowed for rests as needed. The palace was incredible. A definite must see. It was our first time using Viator but it won't be our last! Eileen M.

Eduardo picked us up at the Malaga port and was fantastic not only as a driver but also added other stops in since time allowed. This was a private tour for four people, it was worth every penny we spent. Lara Carranza was our tour guide through Alhambra Palace and Generalife Gardens. She is a historian and gave us such wonderful details that we never would have known had it not been for her many years of studies. We were into the palace before crowds of people got there which made it relaxed and unrushed. We have used Viator all over the world and this only reaffirmed why! Thank you… we will be booking again on our next trip.

A perfect day in Alhambra from Malaga

We were picked up on the dot of the agreed time, in front of our AirBnB, in a taxi van, by Jose. Jose proved to be a superb driver, and took us around the oldest parts of Granada, often with barely an inch to spare between the wall and sideview mirrors, and without grazing even the fattest pedestrians. Then he took us to the entrance of the Alhambra, where we met our guide, Mohammed. Mohammed was marvelous: knowledgeable and dramatically entertaining. We learned a lot about history, politics, and Islam as related to Alhambra. He also helped us take a lot of pictures. After Alhambra, he joined us in the taxi and escorted us to the Alhambra Palace Hotel, where we enjoyed drinks and snacks, looking out at all of Granada. It was an additional wonderful experience. Jose returned us to our AirBnB after a restful drive. We heartily recommend Apartrips.

Our driver, Jose, was in time and very friendly. He pointed out a few places in Malaga to visit on our own later.Pick up at the cruise port was super easy. Our guide in Alhambra, Antonio, was great. He explained the details of the architecture and the history ( there was a lot) in a way we could easily follow. Alhambra is a must see. Amazing. Different that almost anything I’ve seen in Europe.

Pepe our driver met us at the Cruise terminal in a spacious car and provided us with water and snacks for the hour and a half drive to Granada. During the drive he gave us information on the history and geography of the area. On our arrival in Granada we had an hour to either get a bite to eat, explore the old town or go shopping. Pepe gave us good options for each of the choices. He met us on time and proceeded to the Alhambra where we met our private guide. We skipped all the lines. Mohamed our guide was excellent. He was a history major in college and not only did we learn about the Architecture of the Alhambra but also learned about its working and history. Great service. Highly recommend.

Amazing tour! We had a super great and...

Amazing tour! We had a super great and knowlegable tour guide Consuelo. Super expensive though. For that kind of money, the tour should have been longer. I wish we would have had more time in the city of Granada we only had 3/4 hour to eat lunch and to walk around - aimlessly.
