We had a wonderful driver/guide to take us to Granada from Malaga. Joachim was very knowledgeable about Granada and the surroundings. We even enjoyed a surprise visit to the home of Max Moreau, a typical Carmen home in Granada. We could only have had a better time if the weather was better. It was pouring rain at the time.

Very nice trip, Professional guide. We recommend Julia Travel.

Having a private car made the trip more enjoyable and allowed us a great deal of flexibility.

We had a fluent driver, Joaquin, to take us to and from the Alhambra. Happy to be in Malaga. The drive north was beautiful, about an hour and a half in each direction.

This was a private tour as this was the only day I could see this city. The driver picked me up and the hotel and dropped me off. This
was an expensive tour since it was a private tour.
The guide did show me a small village near Granada, but once we got to Granada to see the Alhambra, the tour stopped. It was
a self tour be warned. The company provided me with a ticket to see the Palace since it is by appointment time. Alhambra was
beautiful inside, but a bit crowded. Due to the heat, I skipped the Nature Lifegardens of the Alhambra. The driver drove me to
another small village: Mijas.

This tour was terribly marred by the inaccurate information we were given about entering the Nazare Palace with our timed ticket. Our guide deposited us in front of the entrance and told us to follow the signs. We were not properly informed about the time limitation, wrongly thinking that the timed ticket meant when you entered the grounds not specifically for the most valued experience on the property, the Nazare. Due to poor signage we were lost for enough time to pass that when we finally arrived at the Palace, 5 minutes past our timed ticket, we were denied entrance. We called our tour guide on our cell and an hour later he showed up outside the property, not wanting to spend money to come in, and tried to argue with the staff. However since the tour company did not buy our entrance tickets directly from the Alhambra but rather in some sort of bulk discount they refused to be helpful. So we came halfway around the world to see this and got close but could not get in. Furthermore his tour company refused to take any responsibility and denied us any refund, even partial. Added to the very hot weather that day the experience was rather disappointing. We tried to enjoy the rest of the grounds but left wondering what great sights we had missed. Rats.
