Malaga Bike Tour

After greeting your guide in central Malaga, don your protective helmet and set off on a cycle tour of the city. Frist, wind your way through the ambient tangle of Malaga’s historical streets to observe Jewish and Arabic architectural influences.

During regular stops, you’ll learn about Malaga’s history and capture landmarks such as Malaga Alcazaba, the Roman Theater and Malaga Cathedral on camera. Then, immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of Malaga’s central market and browse stalls brimming with cheese and cured meat.

Observe local life unfolding in cafes and bars before learning about the significance Pablo Picasso holds in the city. Pass Museo Picasso Malaga and then glide along Malaga’s picturesque promenade to admire Paseo del Parque, a botanical garden home to an abundance of flora.

Revitalize with refreshments at a beach bar (own expense) and then continue top monuments such as the Bank of Spain and La Malagueta, Malaga’s bullring — on weekdays, you’ll enjoy a guided tour of the historical building.

At Malaga Cruise Port, yachts bob in the water and an unrivalled view of the city’s skyline can be enjoyed. After enjoying the views, return to your original departure point and bid your guide farewell.

It was a great bike tour through the city. If you are at all comfortable on a bike, this is an easy, relatively inexpensive way to get a flavor for the inner city area. Our guide was knowledgeable and enjoyed being with us as a group. Wouldn't hesitate to do it again on our next visit.

Our Malaga Bike Tour with Viator was one of the major highlights of our Europe trip. The itinerary was great, the guide and his trainee were splendid, and the price was right. Highly recommend this tour company for excellent customer service.

Great overview of the city with a wonderful guide, Jose. New bike paths and the conversion of the Old town center to bikes and pedestrians only makes Malaga a very easy place to peddle around.

Malaga Bike Tours is a nice way to spend a morning or afternoon in the City.
Our delightful tour guide, Sanne, had a well-thought out plan for our 4 hour journey.
Although some parts of the City are untenable on bicycle during the busy parts of the day, we managed to squeeze our way through crowds. That, I would say, was the only down side of bike riding in Malaga. This is just part of the hustle and bustle of urban bike riding, of course, not a down side to the tour itself. There were parts of the tour where getting off your bike and walking the bike was the better alternative, but it would be that way while riding through any urban area however, having the bike versus walking enabled us to go further and faster than we could have if this was a walking tour. We were able to not only tour the downtown area, the market and main plazas, but we also rode through the City gardens and down along the esplanade along the beach, where we were able to stop for a drink at a cafe on the beach. This was a lovely end to the tour. Sanne had a treasure trove of stories to share, and her kind and patient demeanor enriched the experience. I would recommend this tour to couples, singles and families. The great thing about a half day tour is that you still have time to explore on your own for a few hours before you run back to your ship or hotel.
