This was a wonderful tour. The tour guide was absolutely fantastic ! We were a bit skeptical to take a private tour outside of the cruise ship tours but we will certainly do this again. The communication prior to the cruise was timely, accurate in every way and gave excellent instructions as to where to meet them, times, etc. We were on time and had the VIP treatment. A small group of only 18 as compared to the cruise ship tour groups of nearly 50 of near identical itinerary, in a nice new bus and much much less expensive than the same one from the cruise ship. We will definitely book Viator tours again. We cruise very frequently and have always taken only the cruise ship available tours. This was superior in so many ways. Thanks Viator for making our day !!

Although he ship arrived one hour late into port the bus waited for us and the guide Rafael kept us very well informed. Once at the Alhambra we had a fantastic guide, a young man named Danny or Dany, who was excellent. He was enthusiastic about his job and his knowledge of the English and the Alhambra were outstanding. Thank you for 2 excellent guides.

Very well organised tour with helpful and energetic guides.
Much bigger group than anticipated but was broken down into smaller groups during the Alhambra visit.
Electronic equipment a big plus to ensure you can hear the guide properly at all times.
The day was well planned around the cruise departure which brought comfort in using a non-cruise excursion.

Wonderful tour. Easy pickup, nice roomy coach. Escort on bus was a retired archaeologist who provided rich commentary all the way to Granada. Alhambra guide Rose had a set speech delivered in monotone but we got the info. Connections seamless. Plenty of time for a tapas lunch in Granada.

Wonderful tour! Alhambra is a must see place! Our guide Debbie was great, and she talked all the time during the 2 hour drive to Alhambra. Once there Margaritta gave us a great tour of the palace and gardens. Very well organized tour for a large group of people with a long distance to travel!

If you are in Andalucia, you have to visit this place. This was one of my favorite stops in Spain. It is quite lovely and just beautiful! The Moorish architecture is remarkable. This is a very hectic place to visit, so I do recommend the skip-the-line tour.

This was a great tour. It was well worth the bus ride. The Alhambra is a must see attraction if you are in the area. They picked us at our ship on time and the had us back well before the ship sailed. The guides both on the bus and at the Alhambra were outstanding. A great day.

This tour was definitely a keeper. Alhambra in and of itself was amazing, and the tour guide on both the bus for the trip to the site from Malaga as well as the guide at Alhambra were exceptional

From the moment that we got on the bus to ride to Granada our guides were full of information, extremely interesting and helpful. Our guide at the Alhambra was fantastic and considerate. We couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Both the guide on the bus to the Alhambra and the guide inside the Alhambra were outstanding. The guide inside the Alhambra, from the Netherlands, didn't stop talking, so extensive was his information.

We had wanted to revisit the Alhambra since we had been there on our honeymoon 40 years earlier. The Viator price
was about 1/3 the cost of what the cruise ship fees were... and we got so much more - the guide was most informative and professional-
and our group was half the size of the cruise group tour. He answered every question and we received such personal attention.
Given this experience, we will choose Viator for all our future travel needs.

Loved this tour. A bus picked up up in Malaga and took us to Granada. Our tour guide was exceptional. She brought the palace to life and was so enthused about her subject matter. She was excellent at keeping track of all 15 of us and was constantly counting to verify she did not leave anyone behind. The palace was gorgeous and she discussed the history of the place, which I appreciated. We had a long history lesson regarding both Granada but also Spain in general.

Well-run tour, with informative and helpful guides throughout. The site itself is remarkable and we were never concerned that we would not be returned to the ship in good time.

Having been on several cruises, I now look for options other than the cruise ships shore excursion at ports. This tour seemed very similar to a shore excursion offered by the NCL, but cheaper and better quality. The only difference seemed to be the NCL shore excursion had a photo stop at the Albaycin district in Granada.
The tour guide met us as we got off the ship and exited the cruise terminal. She was originally from England and talked the whole coach ride to Granada, was really very informative and it made the 2 hours seem to go by quicker. I will say that we had 31 people on the coach, so contrary to the Viator tour description, this tour is not limited to 18. We did break into 2 groups of 17 and 14 for the actual tour inside the Alhambra, so that is what they are referring to. Although I am not sure if all group tours inside the Alhambra are limited to small groups.
At the Alhambra, our English tour guide handed us off to the Alhambra guides. Our groups guide was Daniel, and he was quite entertaining and we had a great tour. We did not have any wait to get inside the Alhambra, and had timed tickets for the main palace, so it is really skip-the line. After our tour of the Alhambra complex about 2.5 hours we met back up with our English guide and the coach and were dropped off in Granada for about an hours free time to grab lunch. Not really long enough for anything but tapas or another quick bite. We left Granada at 3:00 for the 2 hour ride back to Malaga. Our English guide was quiet so everyone could relax and nap. We made it back by 5:00, so a full 30 minutes before last call to be on board. I will say our guide was very conscientious of the time and is friends with the cruise ships shore excursion guides, so is aware of what time they leave Granada and made sure our coach departed Granada before they did. So even if we had run into traffic, the cruise ships coaches would have been behind us. So no worries about missing the ship.

This is a very scenic tour and well worth the day spent. You could see the Moorish influence in the architecture. The guide was good and had lots of stories to tell. There was a stop along the way at a shop/restaurant/grocery so you could buy sandwiches and a cold drink for your lunch break on the tour.

Tour from Malaga to Grenada to see the Alhambra. Malaga is beautiful- a beach, and mountains Sierra Nevada a half hour away! The guide, Deb, was British, but has lived in Malaga for 20 yrs. Excellent guide. The drive to Grenada was great- orchards, small towns, mountains. Deb couldn't take us through the Alhambra they only allow their own, but he was great too- Antonio. We had audio devices with earpieces that allowed us to hear him even if we weren't close to him. It's 26 acres, and the guide said we walked about 5 miles! Most steps had handrails, but a few didnt. Highly recommend this tour over ones arranged by cruise lines- great guide and Much more reasonable price!

If you are in the Malaga or Granada area, you have to take a tour of the Alhambra Palace and the gardens. They are both amazing to see. The level of detail and design of the palace is truly spectacular. The artisans have done a great job of restoring and maintaining an ancient and historically significant landmark. Our tour guide on the bus was Debbie, she was very knowledgeable, easy to understand, and friendly. Alhambra requires certified guides specific to them, so we had a different guide for the palace/garden tour. He I'm afraid I can't remember his name, it started with an R, was also very knowledgeable and friendly. He was sometimes hard to understand, but he had no problem repeating or further explaining anything you didn't understand. He took us in few areas that weren't usually used for tour groups which was a nice bonus, and allowed us to see things that the regular tours don't see. The skip-the-line perk does not applied to the initial access to the palace, but once you are in, it allowed us to get into areas much quicker than most of the tourists there. We were there in the middle of April, not peak season, and this place was very busy. I don't think you would be able to move during peak season unless they only allow a certain amount of people there at one time. If you are a photographer, make sure you know how to use the low light function on your camera manual or automatic. There will be plenty of times when you will want to take pictures of walls, ceilings, etc., and you can not use a flash. Pictures can not capture the beauty of this place. You have to see it yourself. It's well worth the visit.
