Your day tour starts with hotel pickup and the drive to your first stop, Kuala Lumpur Tower. The 7th tallest tower on the planet, it stands majestically atop Bukit Nanas at 1,381 feet (421 meters) high. After a high-speed elevator ride, look out at the 360-degree view of the city.
Then head to Merdeka Square (Independence Square), where the British flag was lowered and replaced by the Malaysian flag on August 31, 1957. See the colonial-era Sultan Abdul Samad Building and the Tudor-style Royal Selangor Club, both remnants of the days of British rule, before heading outside the city to visit the Batu Caves.
When you arrive, climb up the 272 steps to the temple of Lord Murugan (aka Subramnya), a Hindu deity who is honored each year during Thaipusam. Then enjoy lunch before the approximate 40-minute drive into the rainforest, where you'll take a 45-minute walk to reach a waterfall for a refreshing swim.
Your day tour ends with return to Kuala Lumpur for hotel drop-off.
