Following pickup from your Malta hotel, travel by climate-controlled vehicle to an area known as the ‘three villages.’ En route, your guides, two actors who appeared in 'Game of Thrones,' share stories about their time on set.

Stretch your legs on an amble through the King’s Landing gardens. Take a look at the Tower of the Hand, where the so-called Hand of the King resides, and have your camera ready for Maegor's Holdfast, a fortress used during the filming of the Battle of the Blackwater.

Back in the comfort of your vehicle, meander along backcountry roads to the Shadow Cliffs to gaze out over the desert-like terrain of Red Waste. After hearing tales of dragons that were born there, venture northward to an interesting hamlet better known as Lhazar village. Continue to the medieval city of Mdina to enjoy lunch (own expense.)

In the afternoon, your 'Game of Thrones' tour of Mdina begins. Here, discover key locations such as the yard of Tobho Mott, the Baelish Brothel, King’s Gate, and Coppersmith’s Wynd Cobbler's Square.

From Mdina, travel to Rabat and check out a monastery there—just one of the settings of the famous Red Keep fortress. Your full-day tour then finishes with a hotel drop-off in the early evening.

Malcom was an extremely knowledgeable guide AND a Dothraki! He played several roles during the first season and had a unique perspective as a local and an actor/facilitator. He provided a very informative, lively picture of the Game of Thrones first season and touched on the plethora of movies that have been filmed in Malta. It was our first time to Malta. I would strongly recommend going on this tour as it provides a great overview of the island and you get to see a lot of its "need-to-see" places. Great value, too!

I really enjoyed this tour. Even though I had visited most of the stops before on a previous visit, it was very interesting to learn about how the various sights have been used as filming locations for “Game of Thrones” and many other productions over the years. Malcolm was a fantastic tour guide with plenty of insider knowledge of the Maltese film industry. Highly recommended for both GoT fans and people who have never watched GoT before but would just like to have a great day out in Malta.
