We enjoyed the day with Mohammed a lot. He was very nice and Showed us the landscape of the Atlas Mountains and we had our best tajin in his hometown village. Also the desert (please Note it is a Stone desert)was With the different Colours Quite Impressiv. The only Thing what we Not Really Supported was the camel Ride, But instead of this we enjoyed our Tea and made a Walk in the desert.
We had a great tour guide, Mohamed, for our day trip to the Atlas Mountains. We had a breakfast snack, stopped at several view points/sites, had a tasty lunch, hiked into the mountains a bit, and ended the day with a camel ride. Nice trip out of Marrakech... bring water, wear comfortable sneakers, and put on sunscreen. Your guide will take care of the rest! Thank you
My girlfriend and I went to this trip last week and I surely can say that, it was the best day on our Marrakech holiday so far. Gorgeous sights, lovely villages, kind people And a nice camel ride at the end. Our tour guide Mohad Idali is simply the best. Thumbs up!
Covers a lot in 5-8 hours and a good taste of the region. Rashid our guide was energetic and fun. He also new quite a few languages. Four stars for that. The trip does require over 2 hours of hiking and some steep climbing. There should be a watning label regarding that for tourists.
Omar is by far the kindest, sweetest and most generous guide. He was with us all day and took the time to explain everything to us. He was patient and thoughtful and we felt very safe with him. He helped us explore the many faces of the mountains and the amazing Berber culture. The food was also incredible and beyond our expectations. His driver Ali was also very good and patient. My one advice to tourists is that when someone goes above and beyond their job to make you feel amazing and welcome in their country, please make sure you give them a tip at the end of the trip. You don’t need to break the bank to tip. A small gesture goes a long way.
We absolutely loved our trip to the Atlas Mountains with a camel ride thrown in. Rachid Romero was knowledgeable and an incredible guide. This was a full day, so make sure you wear comfy shoes. For the price, you cannot beat this value. I would recommend this to EVERYONE.
The first stop in this tour was the "camel ride." This was a very upsetting way to start the day and the tour. My friend and I opted out of going onto the camels as they looked very malnourished and improperly cared for. They were tied up with a couple feet of string in a very small area of straw with their own poop everywhere. EXTREMELY upsetting. The rest of the tour was spent in the car and on a hike which majority of our group was not properly prepared for. Our "tour guide" barely spoke the entire day and didn't give us any insight into the Berber culture or what we were seeing. There was also no desert as pictured...don't get your hopes up.
My husband and I had a fabulous day out exploring Atlas Mountains and Agafay desert with Valleys. The guide, Ismail was engaging and provided nuggets of information about the mountain and Agafay!
This trip is highly recommended! The Camel ride and brief stop-off to the Argon Oil Cooperative was great. The food was fantastic at the Berber village. We were looked after well throughout the day. Being in the high Atlas was a welcome break from the hussle and bussle of Marrakech. This was the best day of our saty in Marrakech
