Climb aboard a camel for an unforgettable ride into the open skies and rugged landscape of the Moroccan desert near Marrakech. During your ride you’ll enjoy fantastic scenery and good old-fashioned hospitality as you stop by the house of a local family for tea and a snack.
Start your trip with pickup from your Marrakech hotel or riad, leaving at either 9am (for the morning tour) or 2pm (for the afternoon option), traveling by minivan to the base where you’ll start your camel adventure. Listen to a short introductory safety briefing on camel riding, and don your included cheich (a scarf designed to protect you from the sun) then climb onto your camel and head into the desert.
Follow your guide in the typical caravan formation, making sure to let them know if you are uncomfortable or need to take a break. As you ride you’ll pass through the incredible terrain of the North African desert, admiring palm tree groves and journeying past a traditional Berber village, where you’ll meet some of the locals learn about their daily rituals.
At the half-way point of your camel adventure, take a break at the home of a friendly family, where you’ll enjoy some desert hospitality accompanied by tea and a snack of warm pancakes. It’s a great opportunity to try Moroccan mint tea, considered one of the country’s most popular drinks.
Then say goodbye to your new friends and continue on your camel ride, enjoying more superlative views as you head back to your starting point. Finish your day with a drop-off back at your Marrakech hotel or riad.

This was such a lovely experience, we spent 45 minutes riding on the camel to the a garden where we sat and had a Moroccan breakfast and rode 45 minutes back. Nouredin was one of our tour guides, and he was very knowledgeable and took great care of us! Definetly recommend this tour!

This was an excellent tour. Exactly right for a short tour. The guides are excellent! The mint tea served with the snack was amazing, but even more cool was watching them prepare it. Tours include photographs for sale, but guides are willing to take any photos you ask of them.
Absolutely horrendous experience...

Absolutely horrendous experience, the worst spent money and time in my life. Apart from everything else, it's not safe at all. We were crossing the road where there were 3-4 trucks and all the guides suddenly started to shout the camel's name that was carrying my wife. Then we discovered that the camel has an issue with the trucks when she got angry and tried to drop my wife from her back and get rid of the rest of the pack. They also made the camels run for no reason for several times without warning us, which almost made some poeple drop from the camel, including me, which could easily end up with serious injuries. They kept doing that and told us 'we need to relax' even some people said they have health problems or just got scared. Also, where they take you as a desert is just an ordinary road between two cities, you could just pass by a car and no one in the world would say it's a desert. I also felt sorry for the camels, because i've seen many camels in my life and none of them looked in such a bad condition and aggresive as a result. Stay away if you don't want to spend your money and half of your day for nothing but getting angry and injured.
Ok tour if you just want the camel...

Ok tour if you just want the camel ride experience with some good camel guides. Palm grove was very small so you mainly ride through area were quad biking is used. It probably be better experience to take the camel ride in the desert.

If you go to Marrakech you MUST do this tour. The camels are beautiful and it's such an amazing experience to be in their presence. Prior to this tour I had never been around camels. The ride itself is peaceful and depending on your leader slow to moderate. The guides really love there jobs and it shows!! They engaged with us and took action photos for you. I can't remember all of there names Abdul, Mohammad and 2 others but they were equally awesome and made the experience perfect for my family and I. The tea was superb and the pancake/crepe like snacks. Tip: wearing pants is best for this tour.

It was a nice tour. The tea-session was a little artificial: it was obvious that he hosted the sessions every day. The guides primarily spoke french even though most of the tourists didn't understand the language. But over all it was a nice and beautiful tour.
