This excursion and the service received from the two Abduls is truly exceptional and deserves a five star rating.
As a seasoned traveller for over 50 years I have experienced some terrible so called excursions with guides that have little knowledge and no perception of customer service. This excursion and company are the total opposite and provided us with the most enjoyable day of our holiday.
I will not reiterate the content of the tour, this has been very well described by previous reviewers. Suffice to say it is very informative with breathtaking scenery. The time you spend with the two Berber families and the food they provide will stay with you and will not be forgotten. Wonderfully warm and friendly people.
Abdul 1 the driver, is knowledgeable and very enthusiastic about the area. He also has a great sense of humour and is a very good photographer.
Abdul 2, the mountain guide has a great personality and goes out of his way to make sure everybody id safe and happy with the trekking side of things. Both speak perfect English.
I genuinely cannot recommend this trip highly enough. Go for it, you will not be disappointed and you will have two new friends called Abdul and have a memory for life.

Amazing trip, picked up from hotel as arranged in a very smart Hyundi, Abdul really good and drove really safely, had a wonderful breakfast stop in a berber house with bread, honey and oil with mint tea, very privileged to see this families home. Scenic trip to the waterfall and our guide also called Abdul was really lovely and helped us up the waterfall - you need good foot wear as its slippy, OR you can skip the trek and have a coffee beside the beautiful river. You see the other valleys from the car - lots of stops for photos though and you have a wonderful meal at the top of a mountain in another berber house. We loved this trip and would highly recommend it , this is so much better than the holiday rep trips as you are just in a small group 4 on ours and you are free to ask questions and Abdul will stop as you wish - we'll do another trip with him on our next visit!

An incredible tour through beautiful scenery - we have so many lovely memories of this trip. Abdul was a perfect guide - he made us feel so relaxed and did everything he could to make this a really special day. The views were amazing, the food was all delicious and everyone we met was so kind and welcoming. This was certainly the highlight of our holiday. It was great to have a break from the hectic Medina I would thoroughly recommend this trip to all. Thanks to both Abdul and Abdul for being perfect guides!!

This is an exceptional tour for both content and tour guide. There are 2 guides the main guide called Abdul and the hike guide also called Abdul. The tour consists of 4 valleys, 1 of which Ourika Valley consists of a mini hike to get a closer view of the waterfalls. This can be challenging for some however if you wear the appropriate footwear you will be fine. The tour guide Abdul for the hike is a local berber who talks about his village and is helpful and gives support at trickier areas of the hike so your safety is always at the top of his agenda. One can venture further if the group desires or on an alternative trip further up the mountain can be done in an separate trip. Bear in mind there is a break stop at the top of the 2nd climb where you are offered a beverage at above average prices. The climb and views itself in this valley are beautiful. This ends with a riverside break with a beverage which is included.

The other 3 valleys are more photo stops which are quite breathtaking if you enjoy landscapes and the outdoors. During the tour there are visits to a traditional berber house where you see an insight of a typical berber house and their way of life. For lunch this again is at another berber house however at a peak of a mountain in a modern built house. This consists of soup, tagine of your choice, couscous and fruit for desert. I do recommend the beef as it is very tender and succulent.

Finally I will say for the most part all tours have the same content however what makes tours stand out are the tour guides. The main guide Abdul is probably one of the better guides I have come across. He provides enough information that is relevant throughout the day and is flexible in his schedule. If you would like to stop for photos he is happy to and also offers help take photos or even suggest photo opportunities. At each stop he stays close by so if you have any questions he is available. He is well educated and is knowledgeable with a high level of English so you will not have any communication issues can sometimes occur during tours in countries where English is not the first language. He is generally very open about himself and can ask away at any questions. I have had experiences with tour guides where they just read of a script and give short abrupt answers and you leave the tour thinking what did you learn that you couldn't read of a guide book or internet. This tour is not that. This tour offers an insight to life outside the busy hub of Marrakech and I cannot recommend it enough particularly so because of the tour guides.

Excellent day trip into the Atlas mountains. Our guides Abdul 1 and 2 provided a very good service. The transport was very comfortable and the scenery combined with the Berber villages we saw on the trip, were amazing. We were given an excellent insight into the Berber way of life and our visits to their houses were very interesting. The hike to see the waterfalls was a bit more strenuous than we thought but Abdul 2 provided us with excellent support and guidance en route. Good footwear is essential! The small group experience provided a personal touch and allowed us to fully benefit from the knowledge and experience of our guides. I highly recommend the trip.

This is real value for money. A very full day made special by the two wonderful guides, Ismail and Abdul.
They are both so knowledgeable about the area, its peoples and customs as well as being superb personalities who made the day so entertaining.
I would recommend anyone, of any age, to take this trip if you really want to get a feel for the local people. Not to mention the terrific food laid on by the Berber families in their homes. Altogether a truly memorable experience.

This tour was a one of the best parts of our stay in Morocco. Abdul is an affable, knowledgeable, and skilled guide. The highlight of the tour is the setting. I live in Switzerland, so I know a thing or two about beautiful mountains. The scenery on this tour still blew my mind see a couple of the pictures I posted. Also had some great tea and food, and learned a lot about Morocco by quizzing Abdul and listening to his thoughts. He was just the right amount of talkative, engaging and providing commentary, but just as important and more rarely found in a guide he allowed us to enjoy the scenery in pleasant silence when we were in a quieter mood. Abdul also introduced us to interesting people along the way in the activities outlined in the tour description, including a great local berber guide, Abdulatif, who took us up the hike at Ourika. I can't recommend this experience enough, and specifically Abdul as particularly excellent guide.

My family including two children, aged 9 and 7 booked this tour to get a feel for the outskirts of the city of Marrakech. We were so glad we did! Our guide, Abdul, could not have been more engaging or more informed. We spent the entire day with him and he was great company! He kindly and enthusiastically answered my random questions, ranging from general questions about the Muslim faith to the history of Marrakech and the Moroccan landscape.
The tour itself was a beautiful visual of mountains and valleys and Abdul was sure to provide a wonderful narrative for each. His car was a leisure to drive in and was in perfect condition and appearance. He thoughtfully packed bottled water for us and stopped often throughout our journey to capture those perfect pictures!
Marrakech was a great visit, however, after 2 days in the city, this tour was a highlight and was largely in part to Abdul's enthusiasm and commitment to ensuring we had the most amazing trip.

This was the best trip we had during our visit to Morocco. It was a wonderful trip with the most helpful, friendly and guides who were eager to ensure that you get your money's worth and more. Abdul, our main guide picked us up from our hotel and drove us to the Atlas mountains , enroute we stopped at a Berber house for their traditional morning breakfast. We visited an argan oil factory and passed thru scenic routes. Abdul was a repository of information about the Morroccan history and way of life. At the first valley , we met our second hiking guide also Abdul who took us on a mountain trek through amazing scenery and waterfalls. the trek lasted about two hours. Post that we visited the other 3 valleys also stopping at a Berber house for a traditional Tagine lunch. On the whole it was a day well spent and we fully recommend this trip to individuals and families.
