The best way to have a first impression of Marseille City and history is a walk in a very small group of people with a perfect guide like Hugo. To make small group walks is a perfect idea. Hugo has a perfect interesting and well informed way of telling Marseille history. Perfect tour.

My husband and I took this tour on July 3rd. Ugo was an outstanding guide -- knowledgeable and passionate about his city. He provided a comprehensive overview of the history of Marseille, both ancient and modern, that enabled us to more fully enjoy the remainder of our stay there. I definitely recommend this tour.

We took this took with Walkin on Mars. We were meant to go on a Friday afternoon. It was raining hard and our guide, Ugo, met us at the appointed place and suggested we postpone our tour to Sunday morning, when the forecast promised a nice, bright day. On Sunday we had glorious weather and Ugo took us round the back streets and showed us plenty of historical buildings which we would have missed completely, if it weren't for him. We found Ugo to be very knowledgeable about the history of the city. Ugo is a people's person. The three-hour tour was at the right pace, not too fast and not slow. Ugo stopped to answer all our questions about the city, he helped us source out a history book, about the city, in English and when requested to suggest a nice restaurant for Sunday lunch, Ugo suggested a place frequented by locals, which serves delicious French dishes. Given we did not view the cathedral of the Notre Dame de la Garde on the colourbus tour, due to bad weather, Ugo suggested we take the little train to the cathedral. We are ever so grateful for Ugo's suggestions - they made our weekend break in Marseille an enjoyable time, well spent. Thank you, Ugo.

Excellent! Really knowledgeable guide who spoke superb English and allowed me to improve my schoolboy French. Really brought the history of Marseille to life. Having only 6 people makes it a more intimate tour with more opportunity to ask questions. Finishing at the fort and the museum was the real highlights amongst many highlights. Superb value for money. I would highly recommend the guide and the tour to anyone! Russell and Judith, Glasgow. Tour @ 09:30, 31 July 2017

we met Ugo at the old port for a very interesting 3 hour walking tour, not only his price is very reasonable but also he has a great knowledge of the city's history but also he can give great tips for bar and restaurants if you are a huge foodie like us! we loved strolling around the city and getting to know the different places and hearing about the interesting fact of this very lively city. he likes to keep his group small so that he can answer any additional question you might have. I would totally recommend his tour, not only its very informative, relaxed but also great value for France! we will never forget Marseilles and we hope to go back there to see more.

A recommander
