Discover the beauty and culture of historic Marseille on this family-friendly electric bike tour! Over three or four hours, accompany your guide and small group on a ride through Marseille’s ancient streets. Explore off-the-beaten-path corners of the city, picturesque ports and main attractions like Palais du Pharo and Notre-Dame de la Garde, and cruise along the waterfront for gorgeous Mediterranean views. See more of France’s oldest city with ease!
Traveling by electric bike allows you to see the city's most popular landmarks without getting tired. And your local guide takes you off the beaten track for a behind-the-scenes view of the real Marseille.
Your morning or afternoon 3-hour tour of France’s oldest city departs from Marseille Vieux Port. Meet your local guide and get acquainted with the deluxe electric bike. Fit with a small motor and optional baby seats and trailers, this modern ride allows you and your family to cover a lot of ground with ease.
First, cruise to the Palais du Pharo (Napoleon's Palace), the 18th-century coastal mansion that stands like a sentinel on the entry to the Old Port. Admire the bustling waterway before heading inland to view Notre-Dame de la Garde, a Neo-Byzantine Catholic basilica that rises from Marseille’s highest point, and the Abbey of Saint Victor.
Continue toward Corniche du Président John F Kennedy (Corniche Kennedy) for a leisurely ride along the sun-kissed coastal boulevard. Along the way, pedal past scenes of French life such as locals playing pétanque – favorite game of balls – and fishermen working in the village of Vallon des Auffes and the quaint cove Anse de Malmousque. Stop to snap great photos, get insider tips and learn fascinating anecdotes about Marseille’s long history from your savvy guide. You’ll also have a chance to stop for some lunch or refreshments (own expense).
The 4-hour tour upgrade includes a trip through the ambient Le Panier neighborhood, the oldest quarter in Marseille. Coast through picturesque lanes and under terraced houses strung with clotheslines. Admire the striking façade of the Marseille Cathedral and the Museum of the Civilisations of Europe and the Mediterranean (MuCEM), a strikingly modern accent on Marseille’s ancient waterfront.
Your leisurely electric bike tour concludes at its starting point in Vieux Port.
Had a super time and saw alot of great areas. Be aware there are hills and even with electric bikes the heavy persons had a hard time getting up the steepest hills. Had a fun time and was offered to continue with the longer tour and lunch. Went with it and had a Great time and the operator recommended a great restaurant. Sard'in. GREAT FOOD !!
This tour made Marseille so much fun! The guide was very helpful and we received a very personalized tour. The bikes being electric made it very fun for my teenage children.
Our trip with Ludo was perfect. Just the right amount of time at each stop to enjoy the sights. Also, I will never ride a regular bike again. E-bikes are the only way to go!!
Excellent tour, which the operator broke up into small groups. Great overview of the city and the electric motors helped a few times. Our guide also helped us pick out lunch spots when we were finished. We'd do it again in a heartbeat.
Excellent tour, very personal service. We really enjoyed it! I recommend it highly.
I've done many bike tour in different cities before and the electric bike tour at Marseille is my favorite so far. Marseille is a gorgeous city worth riding through its diverse neighborhoods and the electric bike made the trip all that much easier as it made riding uphill effortless! Highly recommend to anyone enjoying traveling through a city on bike.
This tour was amazing!
This was our favorite part of the European trip. Our guide was amazing. He was friendly and kind and he even took us to a local favorite for a quick lunch. We loved the entire experience.....so fun!
This was a great way to see the city on a very short stop on our cruise. Amine our guide was very personable and made the day fun even though it was a hot day. The bikes were more than easy to use and with just a little effort you were up the most severe hills. I say book a tour with these guys
We did this bike tour in June with our 3 teenagers and absolutely loved it! The bikes are great to ride and help you up those hills or to just go faster! We had a great tour guide who knew his history well. It was a beautiful day in Marseille! Highly recommend!
