New England in the fall is, without question, one of the most beautiful places in the world. Autumn here means glorious foliage, as billions of leaves change from green to a breathtaking array of beautiful fall colors, strewn across the many hillsides and valleys of the region. The gorgeous scenery coupled with the crisp, cool air of the season makes this the perfect time for getting out and seeing the sites.
Begin with a Boston hotel pickup in a climate-controlled coach, then head out to enjoy the colors of the countryside, complete with the many experiences that make fall so special. The still waters and open fields amid rolling hills and winding roads. The old farmhouses, churches, taverns, and white-painted Colonial inns. Roadside markets piled high with fresh, crunchy apples and plump, orange pumpkins. Bring a camera and an appetite for the beauty of the season — and maybe a bagel — because there’s a coffee break in historic Groton, Mass.
Pass Willard Brook State Forest, a Massachusetts state park with deep woods, plus a covered bridge, a waterfall, and a babbling brook. Not to mention endless recreational opportunities like hiking, biking, fishing, and swimming. There’s more — a small park and church at Ashby Common and a buffet lunch (included) at a restaurant in the mountains of New Hampshire.  And last but not least, there’s a local farm stand complete with a farm store and beautiful grounds.
Now that’s a tour of the fall that has it all, in one of the most beautiful autumn destinations in the world.
Note: This tour is seasonal, operating from September through October only.

The tour bus booked 51 of their maximum 55 seats and since my wife and I got on last, due to pick-up from hotels, the only seats we could get together were seats 54 and 55 at the back of the bus, next to the toilet - hence we could only see out of the left hand side of the bus - the left-hand side window was very dirty and very hard to see out of anyway - perhaps it didn't matter as there was no fall foliage to see anyway - I know fall foliage can't be guaranteed to be great from one year to the next, but as it was almost non-existent, the comparison between the pictures advertising the tour and the actual reality was stark - the traffic was heavy on the day, so some of the advertised places to visit were cut out due to lack of time - the only positive was the driver - he was informative and courteous - however, the tour was not worth anything approaching the nearly A300 it cost for the two of us

I just happened to pick a bad year for color . or not the right time. but the guide was so nice in stopping along the road when he saw a bit of color to take pictures. So he went out of his way to try and find it. but the route was beauitiful. A lot of little bodies of water had the color been there would have been perfect. lunch by the way was not your typical buffet. it was a lovely selection of good food

The tour guide was fun and interesting. The stops were beautiful. The food along the way was far above our expectations!

The tour was good. We got to see some nice fall colours (I'm guessing it's a risk to know when to go and get the best colours) and we were so lucky to have a beautiful day for it but there's definitely room for improvement of the tour itself. The first coffee/toilet break had two bathrooms (one ladies, one mens) so spent the majority of the time queuing to use it. The driver couldn't let us know when the next available toilet stop was (the toilets at the next stop may or may not be open!). The coffee shop did not cater for gluten or dairy intolerances. The driver was lovely but spent the whole day going on about time. First it was about being behind schedule rushing people and then we were so early for lunch that we had to stall on the road for about 20 minutes before heading to the lunch place, then it was making sure the bus behind us didn't catch up to us, so time management was an issue. The manager at the lunch stop had a face like thunder and gave the wrong information about the gluten free option (i.e. told me that the chicken option was gluten free when it wasn't - luckily a junior member of staff flagged this with me and had held the gluten free option set aside for me!). The food at lunch was ok (they missed an opportunity to have a local / seasonal menu). The Inn itself was lovely. It would have been handy if the bus had two doors (one at the front and one at the back) as this would have made stops much more time efficient - so much time was spent queuing to get off the bus and back on which cut into the short amount of time we had at each stop. We didn't stop at one of the scheduled stops (a graveyard) due to parking issues which was disappointing. It also would have been nice to have had a stop at one of the cute towns rather than just pass through them. As someone not from the area I would have liked to have seen the architecture and Halloween decorations of some houses more. I appreciate that being on a coach would restrict stops - we ended up in a big parking lot at one stage which had some trees beside it but they weren't the best colours of the day. The last stop was definitely the best but again toilet facilities were very poor. This tour is handy for a day trip from Boston - it's for the most part relaxed (other than the driver going on about time) and on a good day it's beautiful. It definitely made me want to visit the region again during the fall.

We had a good day on this tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable and kept us informed. We saw some beautiful leaves but not the intense and shocking red we were expecting. The weather has been warm in New England and the leaf peeping was a bit late this year. The luck of the draw! We had a fabulous lunch at a beautiful location, The Woodbound Inn Restaurant and Pub. Excellent food! It was an extremely long day, about 12 hours. I think we are better off with half day tours! Good day overall!

I went during the the second week of October and you can already see the changing of the leaves. Maybe if I waited two more weeks, I could have seen more but regardless it was an awesome experience. The bus driver Brian was knowledgeable and a nice driver.

Great tour and Brian was an awesome guide. We were a little ahead of peak but we saw plenty of color and Brian made certain we had plenty of opportunity for photo stops. Highly recommend. Keep in mind the tour company cannot control mother nature so check ahead of time for color. It is a beautiful drive through the the mountains and forrest.

my sister and I went on Oct. 2 for this tour. the weather was not ideal because it was cloudy and rainy. There are only a few leaves changing. Our guide did his best to find the best areas to show us. He is very experienced. The buffet was good. Nice respite from the long travel. We had good pictures to remember the trip by. Thanks to Brian our Tour Bus guide.

The tour itself was okay, but not nearly what we anticipated. The fall foliage was not very vibrant but that's because, from what we were told, the weather had been too warm. However the tour operator was slightly better than horrible. Instead of focusing on the tour that we paid for he spent a lot of time making social and political commentaries, which was very inappropriate and uncomfortable. We have used Viator several times and I'm surprised that they would allow this type of behaviour from a tour operator. I saw another review with similar complaints about the same operstor. Too bad we didnt.take heed...Very disappointing...
