It was a small group. Only 5 of us. MelissaMel was our guide. She was great. I would do this trip for sure if you are reading this. To me it was so much more fun and entertaining that the Haleakala tour. Lots of pretty sights and swimming in a waterfall. Cold but not too bad. I did it so anyone can. Learned lots and found future places for us to go next trip to Hawaii. Saw some beaches I want to check out for sure. Otherwise would not have known about them. Some beaches where turtles sleep. Black sand beach with 2 caves and a 40 ft lava structure to jump off of in the ocean. Super clear water there. On and on. Do the trip. You will likey. RMoore--7/10/16
Driver was great, lunch was awesome, comfortable vehicle. We had a great time.
Wonderful. We had very wet weather - but it really didn't matter at all. A fantastic day and the group size is ideal. A definite must do.
IT STARTED OUT WITH THE TOUR GUIDE WAS ALREADY THERE AND WE WERE 10 MINUTES EARLY!!! IT WAS A WONDERFUL TRIP AND WE TRULY ENJOYED THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE THE WEATHER WAS WONDERFUL AND SO WAS OUR DRIVER/TOUR GUIDE. WOULD LOVE TO GO BACK AGAIN
I wrestled with booking a tour or driving the Road to Hana...this tour was the right decision. This is more than getting to Hana...it's about the journey and all the views. This tour allowed me see the views instead of worry about the road. Our guide, Surfer Sue, was in a word, EPIC! She offered increadible information about Hawaiian culture and history, botany and of course, surfing. We stopped in Paia for breakfast before heading out on the Hana Highway. We stopped at Ho'okioa beach to check out the view and the surfers. Lunch at the Hana Hotel was great and fueled us for our return trip. We stopped along the way for photo ops and just took in the specatular views. Even go the chance to swim in one of the waterfall pools...what an amazing experience. Definitely recommend this tour!
The tour was wonderful The van was comfortable and the driver was professional and courteous. I would definitely recommend this to others and will likely do it again the next time I go to Maui.
Les took very good care of us and was extremely knowledgable about Maui. We highly recommend this tour,
Comfortable seats and VERY knowledgeable driver/guide. Highly recommend this trip.
It was a very excellent way to see a part of Maui we would not have seen had we had to drive. Information given by the tour guide was excellent and beneficial.
There were 4 of us in our group and we were pleasantly surprised to see that we had the van and tour all to ourselves. Sue, our guide/driver, provided a superior wealth of knowledge and history about the island, early settlers, indigenous people, flora and fauna. She was willing to stop at any time for photos and seemed to know everyone along the way. The continental breakfast was great and picnic lunch with white linen table cloth provided a nice break. The van was comfortable and provided a smooth ride through the winding roads. I would highly recommend this tour.
Our guide Sue was fantastic! She was so knowledgeable and willing to share. I couldn't have been better. Loved it!
Great day all around! Wonderful tour with fantastic scenery! Highly recommend this tour.
Fantastic trip, our driver Zothan was very knowledgable and made our day special. We took as long as we wanted at some stops.
Adding breakfast and lunch to the made for a long day but it was worth it.
Loved this tour. Driving this road without our guide driving would have been nerve wracking. He made the tour. Very knowledgeable and could anticipate and plan for every curve and single lane. Both breakfast and lunch were included and worth the extra cost. Overall, my favorite part of our first trip to Maui
The driver/guide was knowledgeable and friendly. She gave us interesting info about the locals and sights, and was well versed in horticultural trivia. The custom van was comfortable and we could see and hear her speaking on the PA well. We didn't swim, nor did anyone else on our trip, as it was cool and rainy. The food was good and we would recommend it.
Wonderful! Breathtaking views! Rained a little but didn't spoil a thing.
The excursion was The Road to Hana on the island of Maui for Oct. 25, 2015. The tour was scheduled thru Viator, a company we have used with success on previous vacations. Our tour guide was Michael Devlin who works for Viator and Temptation Tours. We found Michael to be an excellent tour guide with a great personality. He had a tremendous knowledge of the many sites, the plants and trees, and history of the island. We never felt bored or hurried and had a very relaxing and enjoyable day. Even though it was a 8-9 hour tour, Michael kept our interest all through the tour with his never ending wealth of information. I would definitely recommend this tour for anyone interested in going to Hana.

It was an early pick up but it was worth it! We had a wonderful tour! The van was very comfortable and got to know our fellow tourists. Right after the hotel pick up, we ate breakfast at Cafe Mambo. The Quinoa Bowl was the best! For lunch, we ate at Hana Hotel. The tour itself was very long yet pleasant. Though, I did not expect that Hana Road is full of zig zags! On the other hand, the scenic views were spectacular! We saw some black beaches, forests, waterfalls, and yummy fruits! I've posted some photos for everyone to look at!
It was very pleasant. Nice to have someone who knows the road to Hana driving so that the passengers can spend their time looking at the scenery. There was only one other couple in the van with us. The driver was knew his Hawaiian history and was most informative. The picnic lunch was great for the occasion.
We had a wonderful time from start to finish. Our tour guide was great, full of information and did all that we wanted. We were the only 4 on the tour so it was made very personable and customer to our wants , needs and interests. The restaurants for breakfast and lunch were wonderful. food was delicious. Couldn't have asked for a better experience.
Our tour guide was phenomenal----a walking encyclopedia of information on Hawaii ---it's history, peoples, changing landscapes, businesses, local attractions and economics.
