The show at the Luau was great, the dancers were all entertaining and funny. The fire ending was cool, and you can tell they have a good time. They have an open bar, but the lines are long at the beginning. The food was just ok, nothing crazy great to write home about. My husband was sad as he thought the roasted pig was going to be soooo good, but it was bland and a bit dry. I tried to count, I think this Luau seats 300+ people, so it is just kind of expected to have just 'meh' food, even though the server was kind, quick, and helpful. The main thing I personally am really upset about that is keeping me at a 3-4 star review for this Luau was not the food, but was actually that we had a family photo taken with the photographer at sunset. He said he would come by the table to show us the photo and take payment, and he never came by. We were there for 2-3 hours after the photo was taken, so there was plenty of time for him to come show us. We went back by the table after the show to ask the photographer about our photo, and he was gone already. I took his business card, called, and emailed requesting if we could still receive our photo and pay him for it, and still haven't heard back over a week later. If there was a problem with the photo, at least talk to us about it and let us know, but it has been silence since. We weren't the only ones who didn't get our photo, there were multiple people who were also upset about their missing photos and grabbed business cards. That is very disappointing. Don't offer a photography service if you aren't going to follow through or at least communicate. That was the one night that my whole family was dressed up and ready take a family photo to have as a memory and souvenir from our trip, and we did not get what we were expecting. At least we didn't pay him already, as I would have been much more upset. Shame on you Blinq Photography. I would recommend the resort finds a better photographer that actually follows through with their guests and communicates. The Wailea Beach Resort is beautiful, and I would otherwise consider staying there for a future trip outside of the Luau.
