What You Can Expect

Teralani Sunset Maui Cocktail Sail

Teralani Sunset Maui Cocktail Sail

From the golden sands of Kaanapali Beach, step aboard the Teralani 3 for a sunset sail in Maui. On the luxurious Maui sunset sail, grab a comfortable seat by the bow as you back away from the sand, and watch the tradewinds catch the sails as you cruise westwards out towards the sunset.

Looking back towards the Maui shore, sip on your Mai Tai, soda or beer while admiring the West Maui Mountains, where rugged ridgelines turn purple and pink as the sun sinks low in the sky. In winter, Humpback whales are often seen splashing and breaching in front of the boat, and there’s even the chance of encountering dolphins while sailing out in the channel.

During this Maui sunset cruise, all drinks and light pupus (hors d’oeuvres) are included along with the sail, which finishes by pulling right up to the beach as the last rays of sun fade away.

Fabulous experience with breathtaking views of island coast. Sunset that evening was somewhat disappointing due to clouds, but we saw double rainbows over the island which made up for the sunset! Good food, drinks, and a friendly helpful crew made this a highly recommended experience for us.

Lovely sail. Perfect weather. Attentive crew filling up our glasses. Sparkling clean boat --the cleanest boat I've ever been on. We'll definitely do it again next time we're in Maui.

You will have a similar positive with any of the catamaran sunset whale watching tours. The companies Teralani, Trilogy, Hula Girl, etc. all use nice boats, pick you up on Kaanapali beach, serve decent pupus and drinks, and tour to find whales between Maui and Lanai. This company is quite good - as good as the others - at a slightly lower price. You can't go wrong choosing any of them, but you can save some money.

Very fun sail. Viator emailed instructions that said cruise sailed at 4:30pm. NOT TRUE! Cruise sails at 4pm in winter. Found out accidentally just before catamaran sailed. Lucky. Hope Viator updates its info.
