What You Can Expect

The Feast at Lele: A Luxury Maui Luau

Experience the famous Feast of Lele

The Feast at Lele is a Maui luau set right on the beach in Lahaina, at the southern end of famous Front Street—the most happening street on Maui. Upon entering the luau you’ll be greeted with both a flower lei and a Mai Tai, and are free to visit the open bar or enjoy the view of the Pacific.

When it’s officially time for the feast to begin, you’ll take your seat and be presented with succulent Polynesian flavors, such as imu roasted kalua pig (see sample menu below) and chicken in taro leaves and coconut milk. Island chefs who use local ingredients have crafted the luau menu, which is packed with tasty, exotic dishes from four different Polynesian nations.

When the orange sun sinks beneath the horizon the show is set to begin, where you’re instantly welcomed on a whirlwind journey through the colorful South Pacific. Admire the costumes and be immersed in the strong rhythms of the drum, while enjoying traditional dance performances from Samoa, Tahiti, and Hawaii. A favorite is the fearsome haka dance that comes from Aotearoa—the traditional, Polynesian name for New Zealand that’s home to tattooed Maori.

While enjoying this oceanfront luau in Maui, let the music, dance, and rhythmic chants carry you deeper into the night, which is punctuated by everyone’s favorite performance—the Samoan fire and knife show. Between the food that’s freshly prepared and the gorgeous oceanfront setting, the Feast at Lele is a Maui luau you definitely won’t want to miss.

The Feast at Lele was an amazing journey into the past. We were greeted in the Aloha style with a choice of traditional Hawaiian cocktails, followed by a lei greeting, and then shown to our intimate table for two on the beach with an amazing view of the ocean, islands, and soon to arrive...the maui sunset. All the staff were in Hawaiian attire, and all tables also had a view of the stage. Photographers were available if you wanted to capture the moment, which we did. The narrator for the evening explained what we could expect and started the story-telling of the settling of the Hawaiian islands. This would be the theme for the evening feast. The feast is a sit-down dinner, and each course is themed for one of each of the Polynesian islands Hawaii, Aotearoa, Tahiti and Samoa and finally a dessert course. Each course was paired with your choice of beer or wine. As the courses were served the server explained which island it was from and what the meal consisted of. The narrator on stage then provided history on the island and it's people being highlighted, and their part in the settling of the Hawaiian islands. The performers came out in the island's native costume, and performed a dance to the music of their island. The timing was perfect, each performance was just long enough to enjoy each course allowing a bit of time to chat and relax before the next course and performance started. Be sure to take a cab or shuttle if you plan on drinking. All alcohol is included in the price. The food was amazing, as was the drink, entertainment, service, the history, the view, ambience and sense of Aloha throughout.

Loved it. Very luxurious and fun. I loved everything about it except the long breaks in between dances. I feel like this doesn't have to be a 3 hour event, it could easily be two. But other than that I absolutely loved it
