Enhance your sightseeing experience of Mazatlán on a full-day sightseeing tour of the Mexican city. Alongside your guide, you’ll explore the ambient Centrol Historico — home to the neoclassical Teatro Angela Peralta and the Plazuela Machado — while listening to history-rich commentary. See, too, fearless cliff divers plunge into the ocean from dizzying heights before you board a boat to Stone Island. Here, you’ll choose two beach activities from an extensive range including kayaking, boogie board riding or horseback riding, and enjoy lunch and an open bar.
After pickup from either your Mazatlán hotel or cruise port, board an air-conditioned coach and travel into the city’s ancient center, Centro Historico. Here, you’ll visit monuments such as Teatro Angela Peralta and the ambient central palaza, before gazing at the pointed spires of the Cathedral.
As you explore, your guide provides history-rich commentary to enrich your knowledge of the city’s history. You’ll have ample time to wander Centro Historico independently before watching a cliff diving spectacle.
Gasp as you witness fearless divers plunge from dizzying heights into the ocean, and then board a boat destined for Stone Island — renowned for its pristine beaches.
On arrival at Stone Island, you’ll be provided with lunch and offered drinks from an open bar. If you wish, opt to partake in two beach activities; choose from an exciting range including kayaking, riding a banana boat or horseback riding, or choose to soak up the Mexican sun on a relaxed horse-and-cart ride.
Your tour will conclude with drop-off at your Mazatlán hotel.
We really enjoyed our sightseeing tour. Our tour guide, JC, was very knowledgeable and so kind. He did everything he could to make our day fun, safe and enjoyable. We really liked the horseback riding and kayaking on the island. Everyone was so kind.
Tour was wonderful. Our tour guide jeancarlo Jimenez was fantastic. Highly recommend.
Our tour guide, Jeancarlo, was kind, personable and knowledgeable. The tour was interesting and fun, from the boat to Stone Island to the city portion of the tour, we found it interesting and fun. We started with a boat excursion to see some of the rock formations and caves in the ocean, and were treated to a dolphin escort for part of it. Then we cruised over to Stone Island, where we took a tractor-drawn trailer ride to our restaurant. There we were given the opportunity to participate in 2 activities of our choosing. We chose to tour Stone Island on a horse-drawn trailer, and our driver sang to us beautifully the entire way. It was great fun and culturally interesting. Then back to the restaurant for a delicious lunch. We had the option to do another activity, but we chose to sit it out there was a marriage proposal involved : When this portion of the tour was done, we went back to the mainland where Jeancarlo took us for a tour of downtown. He had a lot of information regarding the history of Mazatlán, and how in recent years the economy has suffered. The people here are working so hard to recover, and in my humble opinion they are doing a beautiful job of it. Hats off to the wonderful people here! This tour was well worth doing, and we would do it again.
Had a great time but always apply sunscreen. LOL
Transportation pick up was amazing and very comfortable SUV. Excellent guide who stayed with us the entire tour even at the Stone Island Beach. He helped make sure we had everything we needed. I was very impressed.
The tour was just okay. We got to see downtown, market area and the historical parts of the city.
The Stone Island beach part of the tour was disappointing not much to see just another beach. They give us lunch and was very limited on your choices. We chose to do the Horse Ride on the beach and that took about 10 minutes in all. Felt sorry for the horses they look so tired and burn out not worth it.
The tour of the Mazatlan was cool. It was nice seeing downtown and the historical parts of the city. For that reason, I'll give the tour 2 stars. S/N: You will not be taken to the 'Golden Zone' with all of the hotels and such, so if you are cruising and would like to see that part of the city too, I do not recommend this tour!
The Stone Island beach part is overrated and was frankly a waste of time. Yes, you go to the beach, but it's not a nicer beach. It's hidden, located in the older part of town down a dirt road. They get a plus for the food. Very authentic. However, the lunch options provided with the tour are terribly limited. The full menu is better, but you have to pay more money for it. The all you can drink is laughable. If you want a beer, it's extra, and they use fake, flat soda and tang or something as opposed to real orange juice as a base of the watery mixed drinks. There are two sides. If you book through a cruise line, the bar seemed to be a little nicer.
We my group opted for the Horse Ride on the beach the main reason we did this tour and the Horse carriage ride. My Goodness!!! I've seen this on other islands and It always, always looked so beautiful so I thought we'd try it. Not at all like it! We never got instructions for riding the horse. We asked and told the guy leading the tour we were novices, but he didn't provide any. The horses looked overworked, and the part of the ride on the beach lasted for perhaps 2 minutes! Never again!!! And the carriage. If you are envisioning a carriage ride through central park, don't!!! It was another overworked horse pulling a broke down and leaning cart with torn and tattered seats!!! Sirs!!!
TripAdvisor --- I rely on you to give me the information straight. Viator --- I expected more from you, being linked to TripAdvisor and all. This was disappointing. I'm not a really picky person, but for 55 this tour could use an upgrade or just be advertised for what it is. Please, do better.
Can't really tell you about your trip as we landed up going with another company as when they arrived at our hotel and called out Stone Island excursion we went up to them and they had our name and room on their list so we went with them.
