Last year we did Sydney's Hop-On Hop-Off 2 Day Tour through Viator and this year for our trip we chose them again in Melbourne. Sydney was Fantastic - my last trip there was 39 years ago and it was great returning to some of the sites that I can remember from my childhood. My husband was a first timer and loved everything about the City and the people we met. Drivers were great.
Melbourne was Amazing! However the first 2 drivers that we had didn't bother with the commentary and while we understood what we were looking at we were asked questions by some foreign tourists who were very confused - we helped as best we could as Queenslanders! But then toward the end of the day we met Bruce, our final driver of the day as we toured for the last time around the St. Kilda Route. What a gem this man is. He not only stopped at each drop off/pick up point but for those of us remaining on the bus he kept up the funniest most informative commentary that we have ever had. Although there was a language barrier for some of the other passengers it didn't matter one bit. From accents to acting to jokes and more Bruce managed to include everyone with the most fair dinkum aussie nature and we were so lucky to score him at the end of a long day - we were laughing even after we had disembarked near our Hotel. The tour was comprehensive, buses were on time and I highly recommend booking this tour. If we did it again, we would choose the 48 hours like we did in Sydney as the 24 hours was not enough. Four star rating is for lack of information and friendliness early in the day but I think that Bruce deserves 5 Stars - Cheers to him for showing us such a great time. Rob and Lisa
Great. Was easy and affordable. Friendly drivers. Would be good though if last buses went back to federation square. My husband walks with a stick and it would have been good to go back to the square and get on our tram right there, especially after a day's sightseeing. Nevertheless we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
My only complaint is that it was hard to find. It is really one block up from where it is advertised to be. Other than that it was very good. I did two days. Very convenient. I did both the city and the St Kilda. As part of this I went to the Melbourne Museum. I spent 3 and 1/4 hours there. I could have spent all day. Great museum.
The buses seemed old and were cold the entire trip not sure if that was on purpose. The commentary was either too loud or not loud enough. There was supposed to be 40 minutes between stops, but waited for much more than that. Liked the idea of it, but wouldn't recommend it.

Disappointed to say the least, there for the first bus and chose the St. Kilda route first. Trip was great and staff very friendly however when we arrived back were told the next bus on the zoo route would be 15mins away, not too bad thought we would get coffee and leave some of the travellers at the stop. Over 1 hour later the bus had not arrived as we had tickets for the footy we couldn,t wait any longer as the zoo route takes 2 hours. NOT ENOUGH BUSES. Viator as usual were excellent
I, my wife, and my baby did the HOHO bus in Melbourne at St Kilda route, i going to Marina Pier. this bus come only every 120 minutes or 2 hours, i have waiting 30 minutes before next coming bus, and when the bus coming just stop at the middle of road, not stop at bus stop. i already trying to said wait to this bus, but the bus just go away.
finally i should find taxi to back to city with 30, very terrible.
