Overview

Spend a full day exploring the landmarks of the Great Ocean Road. Watch the sunset at the famous Twelve Apostles rock formation, pass the Otway Ranges, spot koalas at Kennet River, explore landmarks in Port Campbell National Park and more. Known as one of Australia's most beautiful drives and one of Victoria's most popular destinations, the Great Ocean Road offers great photo ops of coastal scenery, picturesque seaside towns and pristine wilderness — a must-do excursion from Melbourne.
  • Full-day Great Ocean Road tour with sunset
  • Learn about the history and wildlife of Victoria's coast from the knowledgeable guide
  • See koalas in their natural environment at Kennet River
  • Take in the Shipwreck Coast including Loch Ard Gorge
  • Stop at the Twelve Apostles in time for the sunset
  • Includes hotel pickup and drop-off in Melbourne
Depart Melbourne in the morning via Westgate Bridge, the longest bridge in Australia, with sweeping views of the city and Port Phillip Bay.

Pass Geelong, Victoria’s second largest city, as you make your way towards the Surf Coast known for lovely beachside towns and powerful surf. During a short stop in Anglesea, stretch your legs by strolling along the Anglesea River before continuing your scenic journey.

Soak in the breathtaking coastal scenery of the Great Ocean Road as you drive and during frequent scenic stops, including a photo op at Eastern View where the Great Ocean Road Memorial Arch stretches over the road.

Have time to purchase lunch in Kennet River. Afterward, take a walk through a wilderness refuge with eucalyptus trees that shelter wild koalas. Look for the koalas in the trees napping or munching on leaves — the large population of koalas virtually guarantees multiple sightings.

Continue by coach through the Otway Ranges to the Shipwreck Coast and Port Campbell National Park. There you see iconic rock formations starting with Loch Ard Gorge. Hear the story of the shipwreck at Loch Ard in 1878 and view other rock formations with amusing names such as Dumpling Pots, Razorback and Island Archway. Then head to the Twelve Apostles before sunset to watch the sky change colors over the majestic rock formation.

On the return to Melbourne, expect a stop in the town of Colac for dinner (own expense). Your tour ends with drop-off at your hotel in Melbourne in the evening.

Excellent Guide, but unfortunately, we don't see a nice sunset due to the weather conditions.

Scott is a very positive, enthusiastic and charismatic guide, and pays special attention to the needs of this customers.
It is quite hard work to both drive for so long I think it was 7 hours of driving and give a tour in a positive and entertaining way.

The tour itself was a nice combination of country's and ANZAC history with wildlife observation coala and cacadu and landscape admiration rainforest, with 12 apostles and Loch Ard gorge being the absolute highlights!

This was an excellent tour! Our tour driver, Jon was very knowledgeable and had lots of funny stories. It is a full day, but well worth it. The Twelve Apostles Rock formation are something to see. We saw a couple of koalas sleeping in the trees which was a fun sight! Also, Jon gave us an added bonus, a quick walk through a rain forest! The weather was a little iffy but we still made the best of it!! Great day!!

We all had an amazing day. Despite the weather not coming to the party our guide Phil made up for it, he was amazing, he was funny, very entertaining and full of knowledge about all the different areas we traveled along the whole trip. We never felt rushed at any stage so felt we got to enjoy the whole experience and had ample of opportunity to take lots of photos.
The trip exceeded our expectations.

What a great day out! If you have the time do the multiple day tour. I loved watching the sunset at the 12 Apostles. I'd be nice if there were some more picture stops, stops in general along the way but I understand it isn't possible because of arriving on time for watching the sunset.
