Begin your day with pickup from St Paul's Cathedral on Flinders St, then travel by comfortable air-conditioned van for approximately one hour to reach the Yarra Valley.
Spend approximately 2.5 hours at Healesville Sanctuary for a close-up experience of native Australian animals including kangaroos, koalas, wombats and emus. You have the opportunity to touch a koala or kangaroo, and you can see the animals in spacious enclosures that replicate their natural habitat. Learn about the care of injured wildlife at the on-site Australian Wildlife Heath Centre, where veterinarians treat sick and orphaned critters.
Once you have seen the animals, head to a local winery for lunch at their restaurant and a wine tasting that lasts approximately 1.5 hours. Save some appetite for a treat at the Yarra Valley Chocolaterie and Ice Creamery. Try some of their huge array of chocolates and perhaps purchase something to take home.
Your tour ends with drop-off at your starting point in Melbourne in the late afternoon.
