Mornington Peninsula Cheese, Chocolate and Wine Tasting Day Trip from Melbourne

Wine tastings - Morington Peninsula Cheese, Chocolate and Wine Tasting Day Trip from Melbourne

An easy day trip from Melbourne, Mornington Peninsula offers an abundance of local flavor and beachside charm. After morning pickup at your Melbourne hotel, relax in an air-conditioned minicoach and take advantage of onboard coffee throughout the day. Stop at Arthur’s Seat for expansive views of Port Phillip Bay and Victoria’s dramatic coastline.

Pop in at the charming Main Ridge Dairy to sample a variety of creamy goat cheeses and say hello to the resident herd of goats that provide the milk. Continue on to Sunny Ridge Strawberry Farm to indulge in an array of fruit-flavored treats, including strawberry wine and liquor, chocolate-dipped strawberries and juicy, fresh-picked berries during harvest season.

Next, visit the cellar door of T'Gallant Winery to taste cool-climate varietals like chardonnay and pinot noir. Admire the beautiful scenery of rolling hills as you learn about the winemaking process.

After you’ve worked up an appetite, it’s time for lunch! During the summer season, enjoy a gourmet picnic on the shore with leisure time for a swim or a game of beach cricket. During cooler weather, get cozy in one of the charming cafés in the seaside town of Flinders.

Save room for more wine, as you’ll next head to Red Hill Estate Winery, which features regional varietals and glorious ocean views. Finally, toast your tour with a glass of sparkling wine and cheese pairings at the award-winning Stonier Vineyard. After your delicious day, relax on the return drive to Melbourne, where you’ll be dropped off back at your hotel.

Lots of stops, never too long on the bus. Great tastings at 3 wineries, a cider brewery, a local cheese maker, a strawberry farm and lunch at a chocolate shop. Also some great photo ops at lookouts and beaches.

Definitely do this. Cafe bus tours, a partner of wildlife tours in Melbourne were excellent and hassle free. Loved all the food tasting. Steve, our tour guide, was a gem. Our group was amazing and got along really well together. Fun food filled Sunday with new friends. What and #39;s not to love?!?!

A great day with a wonderful guide. The tastings were varied and generous. There was enough time for breaks without being too much. Good sightseeing and a wonderful overview of the peninsula. Recommended

Tour Guide Simon Quail was fantastic, he went above and beyond. This is much more than your run of the mill wine tour and showcases the Mornington Peninsula with its great produce ranging from Goat Cheeses, Pinot Noir, Apple Cider This was added to the tour and wasn't even advertised, score, lunch at a chocolate factory, follow by scrumptious strawberries and the olive farm/winery.

Would highly recommend not only for the taste of the region but the spectacular scenery.

I really had a great time with this tour! Our tour guide Vicky was always on time and very approachable. We went to four cellar doors, each with unique wines to offer. It was also interesting to taste locally made goat cheese and chocolates. I would recommend this tour and even accompany my friends next time!
