we had a very wonderful experience! we especially enjoyed the balloon flight!
1. The Hot Air Ballooning experience is a must-do - Even for those with fear of heights! The Global Ballooning team does a great job of making you comfortable and making the entire flight experience hassle free and enjoyable. The breakfast at Balgownie that follows is also great!
2. The winery tour covers 4 wineries through the day and is a great tour for amateurs in this drink. We had John as a tour guide and he was ver knowledgeable, helpful, witty and engaging.
Would definitely recommend both the tours.
We were up before the crack of dawn. Fortunately for us it didn and #39;t rain. The view from Yarra was stunning. I highly recommend the winery tour that comes with the package. You and #39;ll have a swell time.
Although we weren't able to do the winery tour and balloon flight on the same day due to weather conditions both events were spectacular and we enjoyed them immensely. The views on the balloon flight were amazing and the crew exceptional. The hosts on the winery tour were knowledgeable and accommodating.
The whole balloon flight experience was amazing, from Chris our driver to the balloon team all very professional and passionate about what they do.
Can not put into words. The beauty of the scenery and the friendliness of the crew was wonderful! Do it!!
This day was amazing. The crew from Global Balloon make you feel relax and secure because they are very funny so you get in that mood. The balloon ride is absolutely breathtaking, one of the most beautiful scenarios I had seen. It was a great that me and my boyfriend got to see and enjoy the amazing sunrise. The wineries and vineyards we visited were really good and very different from one another. The breakfast and lunch were amazing, great quality and presentation. It was a perfect day and was the highlight of our entire trip.
Wow….loved the experience. We were up for a good long time and I was not even slightly nervous. Breathtaking and another check off my bucket list.
We had a fantastic time on our balloon flight. Grega was an exceptional pilot and made us feel totally at ease flying high and skimming over tree tops. The silence (when the balloon is not having a burst of hot air) is awesome. We highly recommend this to everyone. The only disappointment was we missed the sunrise but this was due to people not being on time. Make sure you are ready for pickup so everyone can enjoy the splendour of the sun rising.
The balloon trip was amazing and the breakfast afterwards was extremely good. The wine tour was great too. We went to a range of different wineries and there was wine to buy for various budgets. The transfers were extremely convenient and went smoothly. We had a great day.
Nick was a great guide through the day with his wit and knowledge. Beautiful views, great vineyards, and fab service.
we were extremely disappointed that we could not go on the balloon tour - the weather did not cooperate. however, the part of the tour that we experienced was fabulous! the guide was top-notch. lunch was served in a fantastic location, and the tour of the Chandon, which was our last stop, was just terrific. i recommed this to all who visit the area.

This is a great way to see the wine country. Disappointed that balloon flight was cancelled due to weather windy. But we were quickly refunded for that portion of the tour. Tony was a great guide. Very knowledgeable regarding the wine industry and history.
The wine tour was great, but it's a bit of a risk to couple it with the wine tour especially during winter because it can get canceled.
We were very disappointed that our hot air balloon flight was canceled at the last minute. The associated wine tour was good and made up for some of it.
We enjoyed the trip to the wineries, the guide was a lot of fun. Only setback: the balloon flight was cancelled due to weather.
The balloon ride was very well piloted, gave us great views of the Yarra Valley and wineries and played out very well. The pick-up arrangements were not certain until the evening just before the balloon ride. Clearly the organisers, and the recorded message on the contact phone number, expected us to be either a resident of the Melbourne area or staying in a CBD hotel. We were staying somewhere else and it was only when the driver of the pick-up van called us on his mobile the evening before the ride, that I was at all confident that we would connect with the balloon in the early hours of the following morning. The organisers should also specify a clock time on their information, instead of specifying the pick-up time by an interval before sunrise.

The staff were FANTASTIC and the balloon ride was wonderful, as was our wine tour leader. That said, we visited the same winery twice once for breakfast with a tasting then and then AGAIN for lunch with another tasting at the same place. As we had paid for a full 4 stop wine tasting, going back to the place we had already eaten and tasted was a bit of a bummer. Also, the tours did not know, initially, that we were on both trips... we had to press people to connect us between the tours and even then one of the balloon operators had to drive us in his personal car to the wine tour starting place. A great day but another vineyard and lunch spot rather than doubling up would have been much better. Finally, I'd like to reiterate that the staff were fantastic. Kudos to them.
Ballooning was great, afterwards a gap of two hours without anything to happen. The vinery tour was at least okay but not more, the guide Nick was a horrible person. Bei aware you book two seperate tours and nobody takes care for you in the meanwhile. That's not premium.
This was a mixed bag for me. The first part is the Yarra Valley Balloon Flight and that was very cool. You're involved in the set-up of the balloon and that was a lot of fun plus the view is breathtaking once you're up there. The landing was smooth except that we landed in a field full of cows which led to watching your step if you know what I mean. The huge downside of this tour was that it ended at 8AM and we were dropped off at our other location for the winery tour which started at 11AM. Yes. That meant 3 hours of waiting in a place where everything was closed except for a hotel café which would've been great for breakfast if we hadn't already had breakfast at 7AM with the Balloon Flight crew. Oh, and no Wi-Fi. The winery tour was very good with two out of the four spots being excellent and two being average. Would I recommend this particular tour? No. I would recommend doing each separately or at least getting a guarantee that you won't be getting stuck somewhere for three hours with nothing to do.
