What To Expect
Your day trip starts with pickup in Melbourne for the drive northeast of the city to the Yarra Valley. Throughout your tour, your knowledgeable wine guide provides entertaining commentary and information about the Yarra Valley wine region and the varietals produced here.
Make your first stop at Greenstone Vineyards, which has unparalleled views of the Estate vineyard and Great Dividing ranges. After your first tasting of the day you will then head to Balgownie Estate, where you’ll spend half an hour at the tasting table, sampling varietals like shiraz and cabernet sauvignon, before moving into the winery restaurant, with views of the vineyards, for lunch and a glass of wine. (If the winery is not serving lunch on the day of the tour, a similar location will be substituted.)
Next up is Yering Farm, where you’ll enjoy your tasting in the cellar door (tasting room) converted from an old hay shed. As you sample wine, take a look at copper winemaking tools used more than a century ago. And your final stop for the day will be at the beautiful Soumah Wines.
Your day trip ends with the drive back to Melbourne, where you’ll be dropped off at your pickup point.

It is here that winemaking operations are carried out, making Greenstone one of the most progressive wineries in the valley.

Highly recommended, even for people who do not drink much wine.
Good day trip to Yarra Valley vineyard region, and this package is highly recommended due visiting to key wineries with delicious lunch included (go for the braised beef).

A great day, but a little bit stressful

A very good day! You get to taste a lot of great wines and get interesting information from the vineyards. Beautiful views. 4/5 because it was a bit stressful (not much time for exploring the vineyards, taking photos etc). Lunch was delicious but it would have been good with more carbs. A snack during the day would have been apriciated.

A Beautiful Day in Wine Country

This is a bus trip from Melbourne to Yara Valley vineyards including lunch. The scenery was beautiful and each of 4 vineyards gave 5 tastings along with their story and explanation of the wines. After the 2nd tasting we had lunch which was delicious and served in a private dining room at the 2nd vineyard. We had a choice of salmon, chicken, lamb and tofu. - the chicken and lamb were excellent, and the salmon looked equally good. My only complaint is that we had 4 tastings and by the 4th we had had enough.

This tour was perfect! Our guide was SO entertaining, organized and fun! Each winery was beautiful and the wines were delicious. The lunch was fabulous. I loved every minute.

Lunch at Balgowrie vineyard and resort was excellent. Our driver was very knowledgeable. All the wine tastings were relaxed and interesting. We bought a bottle at Soumah and drank it later.

Yarra valley wineries tour

Tony our driver was entertaining and knowledgeable. He kept everyone entertained during our drive to the wineries. There was a good selection of vineyards. Some smaller and some larger operations. The tastings were very well presented and friendly. The food at lunch time was excellent. Overall a very informative and enjoyable trip.
