Such a great tour and I highly recommend. Gabriel was engaging and a wealth of information and I cant imagine touring this amazing site without him.
Our pyramid trip was amazing.Ernesto our guide was pleasant and very knowledgeable. My only complaint would be the length of our day.Tour info said we would return by 130 pm but did not return until 330.With a 630am departure time our whole day was taken by this tour. When visiting a new city ,time is precious and we basically lost the whole afternoon with our late return.I would recommend skipping the tequila tasting, shopping time allotted and lunch break and return to the city in time to do more sight- seeing or book another Viator tour for the afternoon.
This was an excellent tour Our English speaking guide Leonardo was knowledgeable and patiently answered any questions we had. His tour was well-timed and well-paced. We recommend this tour of an important historical site of Mexico.
Incredible experience with some insightful and fun tour guides. Leonardo was funny and very welcoming to questions. He had vast knowledge and really gave helped give perspective on such a glorious place. 10000 will be doing this again and recommend this to everyone!
The bus was comfortable and timely.
Good amount of time to walk around with the group and by yourself as walk the stairs of the pyramids.
This trip is totally worth the time and money. I highly recommend the early morning trip as there were few people at the site and it was much cooler. Unfortunately, I can not remember our guide's name. He used to work at the site as an archaeologist, was very pleasant and knowledgeable. The history of this place was extremely interesting to us. Our bus driver was Oscar. We took many taxi and bus rides in Mexico city and they were a bit hairy to say the least. Oscar was a professional, drove very well and careful and seemed very adept at handling the traffic. We would not hesitate to recommend this to any of our friends or family.
Tour Guides are extremely knowledgeable. Would recommend to someone else.
This was a really great tour. Our young guide had been an on-site archaeology student and was very knowledgeable. His English needs a bit of work. Safe driver, comfortable bus. Time to have a good look around and no problems that I wanted to check out the museum instead of climb the Mountain of the Moon as had done it previously. Plenty of time to pick up souvenirs. The stop off at the tequila shop is interesting and to see the obsidian in its natural state. The early start was essential as it gets very busy. And going with a tour gets you right to the gate - I felt sorry for people we passed walking in. It is also very very hot after a cool start so hats, water, sunscreen and umbrella.

This was a fantastic experience. Just a short walk from our hotel to the pick-up location. It was a small tour, less than 20 people on the bus. We stopped at a gas station and coffee shop to pick up some last minute drink, food or breakfast. Upon arrival, our tour was divided into Spanish speaking and English speaking guided tours. We had Leonardo English-speaking tour guide. He was very knowledgeable, personable and funny. We truly enjoyed our time there. We went on a weekday. There was hardly anyone there except for merchants selling souvenirs and a few dogs running around. It is the ideal time to go. There is sufficient time to see the Temple of Quetzalcoatl Temple of the Feathered Serpent, hike up to the top of the Pyramid of the Sun and the Pyramid of the Moon, however more time would have been nice to sit in awe. The tour to the tasting of mezcal, pulque, and tequila was great. Our host there was very entertaining. We picked up a beautiful blanket and a wall-hanging. I wish we had brought their mescal and pulque back home, very tasty. We settled for some at the Duty-Free store. I feel more time was needed for lunch. We opted for the buffet due to the time constraint which was a bit more pricey, but at least the food was delicious. We strongly recommend this tour and would do it again. Just breathtaking!!!! Gracias Leonardo!!!!
This was an exceptional tour with an amazing tour guide 3
Excellent experience with a professional tour guide telling us stories about the pyramids of the sun and the moon!
This tour was awesome and is definitely worth waking up for at the crack of dawn. The views from the top of the pyramids are spectacular! Once you are out there you understand why this is an early morning tour: Mexico City traffic and little to no shade once you are out there. Bring plenty of water and some comfortable shoes. The archaeologists are great people and the transportation is very nice.
This tour was very enjoyable! Our guide Ernesto was very nice and had many interesting stories and facts for every area on the site. He wasn’t an archeologist but he did share expertise on Teotihuacan. The workshop was actually a demonstration but it was pretty interesting too. Thanks Amigo Tours!
Our tour guide was Gabriel and he was fantastic! He kept a group of 40 together and engaged. His passion and knowledge was incredible. Highly recommend the early tour because it is not hot at the pyramid yet and way less crowded. Ask for Gabriel!
I would recommend this early morning tour. The guides were great, the bus was in in very good condition and our group was one of the first that got to Teotihuacan in the morning. So we were able to explore the complex before the crowds arrived.
Absolutely a MUST. It was hard to get up early, but once over and done...I would ONLY recommend the morning tour. You arrive at the site around 9am...and this was perfect temperatures for 3 hours on the site. By the time we left, it was so HOT, that I could not imagine starting the exploration on the site for 3 hours in afternoon heat. We left the site to a market and restaurant. The market of course wants you to purchase, but not necessary...but the information on the merchandise and process was interesting. Then we had an incredible tequila tasting...which was fun...the restaurant they took us to, was delightful and delicious food along with entertainment.
This trip was one of my favorites...I HIGHLY recommend it.
This was an excellent tour, one we all highly recommend. We arrived at the pyramids early, before the crowds appeared. Our guide, Leonardo, was very knowledgeable and provided a bilingual Spanish/English explanation of Meso America, covering civilizations, culture, and history. We got to climb the Pyramid of the Sun, Pyramid of the Moon, and pyramid of the plumed serpent, Quetzquotyl. The tour included rest stops, tequila tasting, and lunch at a good restaurant. The bus was luxurious and driver, José Luis, did a great job navigating traffic.
A highlight of our trip! Such an amazing way to see the pyramids and meet fellow traveller. It's worth the money... and early wake up!
This was a great tour. There weren't too many people at the pyramids early in the morning. The tour guide was very informative, although he didn't walk up the tallest pyramid or the last pyramid with us. He gave us some time to walk up and come down the pyramids by ourselves.
Buena experiencia, personal agradable y excelente llegar temprano a las pirámides. muy recomendado
