This was a great way to experience night life in Mexico City! Our plane was late so we were late in trying to meet up with the group, but our guide Milton was very helpful and accommodating. The earthquake happened during this time as well, so everyone was scrambling to get things back on track. Everything was well organized and very professional.
This tour is a definite MUST and our tour guide Rodrigo was amazing! You get to see an inside on Mexico City night life, learn some brief history of tequila, mariachi, the luchador culture, and the Zocalo district. It was a great way to meet people and even with much drinking, it was very organized. Rodrigo made sure the party was brought out of everyone. Definitely our best night there!
The tour guide was very knowledgeable and I loved the variety of experiences the tour offered.
Rodrigo was an excellent host! The lucha libre was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Mexico City... and can't forget about the Tequila Museum.
Great guide. Fun night from Tequilla Museum to Lucha Libre. Well done.
What can I say? This tour was AWESOME! The guide was great and of positive energy. I cannot emphasize how much you must take this, I went on a daughter mother trip, and I am 28 years old and my mom in her late 50's and let me tell you... we both enjoyed this just as much! If you want a good safe fun night, try this out!!!!
Super fun tour! Cesar was a great host all night, and your seats for the Lucha Libre match were great! As someone visiting Mexico City alone, this was an excellent way to experience some nightlife safely with other people. Even made some friends to spend the rest of the weekend with!
Yes, yes, yes a million times yesssss! BOOK THIS EXPERIENCE! As a solo traveler I wanted to experience the nightlife, but was afraid to do it alone. My group consisted of 10 ppl and we all quickly became close thanks to our guide, Carlos, that broke the ice. I felt safe and had an amazing night!
Our Guide Leon did a great job, We had a great time in Garibaldi Square, the matches at the Lucha Libre where great and the ride on the subway was a real experience. The meeting point was easy to find
This was one of the best things I've ever done with my study abroad students! Our guide Leon was awesome!! He was very entertaining, and very hospitable--made sure everyone had a great time! Even the one person in our group who doesn't drink had a great time.
Leon took us to an upscale bar in the Torre Latinoamericana where we met the other members of our group--a couple from New Zealand and three folks from Kansas. We hit it off immediately with them and had the time of our lives.
Leon then took us to the Cantina Tenampa, where we took tequila shots and sang and danced with the locals and the mariachi and jarocho bands. What a blast!!
We ended up at a Lucha Libre competition which we enjoyed much more than we thought--mostly because Leon had prepared us well.
Much love to Leon, and we hope to see you next year!
This tour is a MUST! Our tour guide Leon showed us a Mexico City we could have never seen solo. His outgoing personality made everyone feel like best friends by the end of the evening. Truly an evening we’ll never forget!
reading the review on this one, Diego seems to be the tour guide of choice, so I did requested Diego and we were not disappointed! we have a blast and our group enjoyed the night out!
This evening tour was so much fun! Leon was incredibly charming and made sure we all had a good time. I wish the night could've gone on and on! An experience not to be missed!
We had SO much fun with our guide, Leon! aka Steve from SITC The overlook we had intended to visit first was full but he quickly rolled with it and found us another place to grab drinks and have fun! The restaurant in Girabaldi Square was fantastic, and he taught us all to enjoy the flag. Lucha Libre was SO much fun and the guys in our group were instantly eight years old again. We arrived later and left early probably to beat the crowd, so know that. It did not bother any of us, but if you want to be there from start to finish then just buy your own tix. If you want to have the best time ever with a fabulous guide then SIGN UP! Thank you, Leon - if we ever come back we will definitely want to do another tour with you!
Our meeting point for this tour was very conveniently situated about 300 metres from our hotel in the centro historico, so that got it off to a perfect start. After brief introductions from our excellent guide Diego, we made the short walk to Torre Latino Americano. There we had drinks in the observation lounge and Diego helped break the ice and everyone got to know each other better. Unfortunately my wife was not feeling too well and had to return to the hotel at this point .Diego showed concern and was very helpful and I decided to continue with the tour. Our group of 9 was an ideal size, good fun and everyone made sure that I didn't feel left out as the soul survivor from the UK. Garibaldi Square was the next stop for Tacos etc., Mescal, Tequila and duelling Mariachi bands in what was a very noisy but enjoyably atmospheric cantina. Then came the evenings main event....the Lucha Libre.. After handing out our wrestling masks on the minibus Diego led us to our seats in the packed arena. This turned out to be much more fun than I had expected and between watching the wrestling, watching the crowds and being served beers and any number of snacks in the 'comfort' of your plastic seat it was a fantastic experience that you are unlikely to find elsewhere. We didn't do the optional drinks downtown afterwards as it was more convenient for most of the group to return to their lodgings directly by Uber, but Diego dropped me off close to my hotel where I was re united with my wife and proceeded to annoy her by telling her what a great evening and good company she had missed. My only criticism would be that cameras are not allowed in the arena and can be left in the van. Mobile phones however are allowed but I had left mine at the hotel. This was not mentioned in the information on Viator's booking site. On that note if Diego or any of the group read this and can somehow send me a couple of pictures from the night to fill the gap in our travel journal I would be very grateful.
Thanks again for a great evening.
We arrived in Mexico City late Fri. afternoon and were looking for something to do the first night when we came upon this tour. What a find. It was a great introduction to the city and some great people -- from the mass of humanity at our meeting place in the historic district, to drinks, a great city overview, and group introductions atop the Torre Latinoamericano a delicious meal and mariachi music at the Museum of Tequila and Mezcal and liquor, of course and Garibaldi Square and lastly a couple hours of lucha libre wrestling. I am not a professional wrestling fan and never attended in the US, but it was entertaining and just another taste of part of the culture of CDMX. Diego, our guide, was very knowledgeable and helpful, and we had a great group of 12 people.
an absolute blast ! our group 3 started out at a roof top bar, a breathtaking view of mexico city, then proceeded on to a cantina in garibaldi square, amazing food, drinks, and mariachi music,a real slice of mexico city! then walked to the wrestling arena, where we were totally entertained by non-stop wrestling, which is a huge spectator sport, and I understand why,as you will scream, boo, laugh and cheer them on! we took the subway when we weren't walking, clean, safe, and really cheap! no matter what you heard, mexico city is very, very safe,as the police are everywhere, at every street corner, intersections, etc.you will get a lot of bang for your buck, our tour guide leon was the best,he is a pro!
Great fun! Recommended for all active and fun seeking travelers! Great value! Excellent guide!
First time Tequila and Mezcal taster. Had a blast at the Lucha Libre event. Diego is a great tour guide!

I enjoyed every aspect of the tour. Diego was a fantastic guide. He was very knowledgeable with the history of the places we visited. Never watched or attended a Lucha Libre event before and it was a memorable visit. If you get the chance to take the tour, do so!
Great tour! Our tour guide was amazing! Great knowledge of the places and tour!
It was so much fun!!! Our tour guide Diego was such a great guide. He was friendly, a gentleman, and very informative. The cantina portion was my favorite. I highly recommend this tour.
