Admire different species of marine life at Inbursa Aquarium
Skip the long lines at one of Mexico City's hottest attractions, Inbursa Aquarium, Latin America's largest aquarium, which opened in June 2014. Your midmorning pickup from your Mexico City hotel whisks you to the site in Carso Plaza. Upon arrival, head directly into the aquarium’s unique triangular structure of four levels, three of which are situated underground.
The Inbursa Aquarium spans 11,500 square feet (1,068 square meters), and is home to 5,000 marine life samples from about 250 species. Enjoy a number of thematic exhibits, designed to entertain and educate visitors of the different aquatic species and their behavior: Coral Kingdom, Ice Land, Calypso Beach, the Lost Waterfall, Forest of the Kelps, Black Mangrove, the Touch Pool and the Sea Bed.
Start at the lowest floor and work your way up. At the Sunken Ship, discover black-tip sharks circling concrete pillars, along with colorful tropical fish, and wander through the backlit gallery of the Jellyfish Labyrinth.
As you ascend floors, discover brighter environments, from tropical reef zones to freshwater and beach ecosystems like those of the Amazon. See piranhas, turtles and crocodiles, and at a lagoon, observe and learn about endangered manta rays. Before leaving, take a selfie with a ray in the glass tunnel.
Your 4-hour tour ends with transport back to your hotel in Mexico City.
