Great tour!
mktucker19, Jun 2022
Our tour of Teotihuacan was great! We had such a good time and a lot of that was due to our tour guide Fermin. He was very friendly, knowledgeable, and approachable. Given that he was a PhD student in archaeology, it was really interesting to hear his perspective on the history of Teotihuacan. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone looking for a nice day trip from Mexico City.
Response from Host, Jul 2022
Thank you for choosing us! We are commited with offering the best experience with the best guides and Fermin is one of the best, he´s passionate and friendly and we love working with him. We´re so happy to know you had a great time!
Fantastic tour
Rebecca_W, May 2022
Our guide Fermin was excellent - engaging and informative. The tour was really well paced and getting there early is a must to avoid the heat and crowds! Don't be put off by the workshop visit - it's very brief and not pushy / salsey.
Response from Host, May 2022
Thank you Rebecca! Is our pleasure to share this experience with all of you.

Incredible Tour - Highly Recommend
Jeremy_F, Sep 2022
We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of the pyramids. June was an incredible tour guide with such a deep knowledge of the history of the landscape and the people who lived there thousands of years ago. The photo opportunities were incredible and the weather couldn't have been more beautiful. We plan on recommending this tour to all our friends who visit CDMX.
Mediocre...
Huante_H, Sep 2022
Don't get fooled by the Ph.D.....the trip is mediocre at best!! Unfortunately, the guide only states the obvious in his storytelling (basically everything is made of a limestone paste)- no real history or story is given leaving you underappreciating the pyramids. He is basically walking you through it. You need questions ready beforehand or no more information will be given and even then answers are based solely on his opinion. You should probably watch a documentary before you go. The only ~positive is if you have no questions, he will zoom you through the trip and have you out so fast. Next time I'll get a taxi and just hire a guide from the actual place and it won't cost more than this trip. If you are already booked then visiting the Museo Nacional de Antropología (amazing, also get the guide that works there!) will make up for it! To be fair, the driver on the other hand was genuine!

Tour Teotihuacan
Jeff_B, Apr 2022
Our guide was excellent and the driver incredibly resourceful. The only way to appreciate the size and grandeur of Teotihuacan is by walking it. Our guide provided history lessons, insights and answered questions. We left with a much better understanding of this historic site. The obsidian and agave lecture was appreciated and interesting. Sampling the agave liquor and mescal was delightful. We had a wonderful meal at the restaurant, including live Mariachi music

Thank you Jeff! Every activity we share in this experience was thinking in making it special and unique.

Wonderful experience touring the pyramids of Teotihuacan!
Marissa_P, Sep 2022
We had a lovely experience touring the pyramids, climbing the one that was open to the public, and walking the grounds. The tour guide and driver were beyond helpful and we even stopped for lunch at a local restaurant on the way back as a group. We learned so much about the history of Teotihuacan from our extremely knowledgeable guide, Yunuen. 10/10 experience for history lovers visiting CDMX with a moderate fitness level.

Out of all the options on here I had to do some digging through the reviews. I picked this one because of the consistent 5 stars. (except for one which I will address in a minute). When I booked Steph immediately contacted me and she couldn't get me through the Viator app's messaging (I don't check it) so she tried WhatsApp and it worked. (smart), there was a slight issue with my pick up which they immediately remedied. The morning of the tour we were greeted by the tour guide Dr. Adolf Yunuen (yes, he has a Doctorates in Anthropology) and the driver Jose Luis (Pepe). The Dr. spoke perfect English but is from Mexico City. We made a stop at a gas station for coffee and snacks and the bathroom. We arrived at the site and the hot air balloons were everywhere and it was gorgeous. GLAD we got there early as we beat the crowds and got AMAZING pictures. He took us to certain places others couldn't go to without the special permit. He is a professor so answering all my questions was easy for him, my kids were with me as this is our field trip. He told us things we would NEVER have known about if we went anywhere else. He pointed out the false stories people were spreading; no churched up stories. We didn't buy from the vendors there along the road because at the end they have a shop that supports the locals and the Teotihuacan site. pricier but I felt better about where my money went. Completely your choice he didn't judge. He took our pictures and they were great. The Store at the end gave us tastings of their Tequila, Mezcal, and other alcoholic drinks, they showed us how they make it, with how they used the Agave for writing and sewing , we then received information on the obsidian. We were able to leave our belongings in the van (so convenient) best of all we were a SMALL group!!!! the 5 of us you see in the picture is the whole group. The other groups I saw arriving later were in LARGE groups of 30-40; insane. At the end they asked us if we wanted to eat lunch at this cute restaurant. I don't know what the other ladies problem was in the bad review but don't listen to her, maybe her name is Karen. The restaurant was AMAZING and reasonably priced. Got a lot of food, and a good variety; as well and had live music that were playing requests. It is YOUR CHOICE to eat there or not and hardly the tour operators fault she didn't like the restaurants food. They would give you a refund if you didn't like it and this was made CLEAR to us before we ordered. None of us had issues with the food and my kids are 13. They asked us where we would like to be dropped off and since it was only 1300 we decided to go to the Palacio Bellas Artes. I was on a budget and this was only a LITTLE bit more money for A LOT better experience. As a frequent traveler (especially to Mexico) this was literally the best tour I ever had. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
Favorite experience of the trip, thanks!
Laurel_A, Mar 2022
Great experience -- our guide June was highly knowledgeable and clearly cares about the site on a personal level; she encouraged questions and the hours just flew by. Morning is 100% the way to go (cooler, and fewer people), and definitely recommend this version over the shorter tours most visitors seem to take, which essentially drops them off in front of the biggest pyramids but IMO skips the features that are most impressive/incredible if you're interested in human history, including the most intricately adorned pyramid, a series of living quarters, and more. Plus, there's just nothing like the long walk down Calle de los Muertos.
Response from Host, May 2022
Thank you Laurel! We designed our itinerary in order to offer a comfortable but extense explanation of the arqueologycal site.
Great Tour
Maggie_B, May 2022
We had a wonderful morning exploring and learning about the historical site. Our guide was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. He gave the tour in both Spanish and English and he was very personable and kind. The historical site is very interesting and I would recommend that everyone go while in Mexico City. I would also recommend this tour!
Response from Host, Jun 2022

fantastic!
Marisol_V, Aug 2022
I really enjoyed this tour, our guide was fantastic, I enjoyed that our guide was telling us what he thought as he is a History major who is getting their PHD. I learned so much and the walking and sight seeing was pretty amazing. I do recommend booking this tour, and I will def be booking this tour again in the future.
Make it Happen!!

Trip was amazing. Learned a lot about the history and skills the Teotihuacán people possessed. Only thing is that I Wished we had a little more time to be able to purchase some souvenirs

Our guide, June, was excellent — opening up the world of the ancients to us and giving us the information to help us understand the richness of the culture.

The Tour itself was good....
Asjad_A, Aug 2022
The Tour itself was good. The Mexican restaurant for lunch stop was a huge tourist trap (expensive and subpar food).
Response from Host, Aug 2022
Dear Asjad I'm so sorry you did not enjoy lunch we're commited with offering the best service in our tours and will keep your comment on mind. I try to bring people to my favorite places but maybe we can add alternatives to have different options. Thank you so much for your opinion.
