This is a great tour. Jennifer did a great job of linking the food in Little Havana to the history and culture of Cuba. The variety and quantity of food was excellent, along with the entertainment. The amount of walking was minimal.
Loved learning about Little Havana, delicious food and quite the adventure. Mirka is so much fun and made this one of our top walking tours. I have a new appreciation for Cuban food and Miami culture and next time I visit, I'll know where to go. Thank you Mirka! Loved it!
We took this tour on January 9/18 and throughly enjoyed it. Our guide Lana was very knowledgeable about the Cuban culture and their food. The food was delicious and the establishments we visited were very friendly and supportive of the tour. We really enjoyed the music and the mojito at the Ball and Chain! We would highly recommend this tour for the food, culture and especially our guide Lana!
It was a delightful tour filled with good food, drinks, and history. This is my first food tour that I booked through Viator though I have done many others through them and it was just what I expected. We make about 6 stops and had a snack or drink at each one. The guide was wonderful. My only disappointment was that the art gallery where the tour originated was closed for the day.
This tour was delightful and delicious! Lana was our guide and her multicultural/multinational perspective was unique and fascinating as she shared her world experience with us. Her passion for the cuban culture, people and food was contagious in a very good way! By participating in this tour, your senses are fully involved in the little havana experience. You hear of the history, you taste the cuban food, you see the rich culture, and you feel as though you are a true part - for a moment - of this neighborhood that is bursting with fun energy.
My boyfriend and I went to Miami for a wkend trip from Atlanta back in October. We spent the weekend exploring South Beach, and the Wynwood Art District most of Friday and Saturday. Sunday was our last day and I decided to surprise my boyfriend who is a foodie by going on The Little Havana Food and Walking Tour. It ended up being the highlight of our trip! The tour guide was funny, full of personality, and made everyone feel welcomed and a part of the group. I failed to mention that I have dietary restrictions before booking, but the tour guide made sure I received the vegetarian food options upon arrival on every stop. I really appreciated how she was able to make that adjustment at the last min. I have recommended this tour to other friends and family vacationing in Miami and they also enjoyed their tour. Can't wait to come back. Next time I will not go on the tour Saturday because the Art Galleries in Little Havana were closed on Sun.
great tour guide moniqe knowledgeable personable enjoyed this very much
Great guide. Wonderful walk, tour, great food and drink, and a bit of history. We have recommended this tour to friends.
Jennifer was an amazing tour guide. She was extremely knowledgeable about not only the origins of Little Havana, but also about all of the delicious food. The food was amazing. It gave you a good idea about what traditional Cuban food is like. My favorites were the pastelillos and the ice cream.
One of the best experiences in Miami! Most certainly recommend it to people!!
Amazing tour!! I learned a great deal about this gem of a neighbourhood in Miami. Our tour guide was great and our meal was also amazing. Take this tour if you want to experience a little Cuba.
We took this tour with 8 of us, 6 in their 20s and a 3-month-old. Everyone loved it and it was a highlight of our week-long vacation in Florida. Jennifer was an excellent guide, she was knowledgeable and entertaining! We loved all the stops, but the guava turnover and mojito at Ball and Chain were a highlight! Highly recommend this tour.
We had a wonderful tour of all of the highlights in Little Havana with Jen as our guide. She was extremely knowledgeable made all of us comfortable and even stayed to inform us of some of the best Cuban restaurants in other parts of Miami. The food was delicious and we would never have found all of little stores/restaurants that she took us to. We were definitely not hungry after this tour and it was the perfect balance of walking and eating.
What a great tour. We're not typically big tour people, choosing usually to do these on our own. That said, we took a chance on this and were not disappointed in the least. My daughter 10 loved it too. Our guide was informative, friendly, and knowledgeable and all the stops were first rate. The price around 60/person was good for what we ate/drank. Best part - we now feel like we have some knowledge of Little Havana and will certainly visit on our own when we return to Miami.
Excellent Tour - Our guide Jennifer was the best. Each of the stops was better than the previous one. This tour is also a great value for what you get for the price. Glad we didn't eat lunch before the tour. Overall Little Havana is a cool place and hope to go back again. Ball and Chain was my favorite stop!
Felt like we're in Cuba.
Love the breads, and specially the Cuban coffee.
Will go again.
The Little Havana Food and Walking tour in Miami was outstanding and worth the effort. We had a great tour guide who was very well versed in the neighborhood history. We sampled several different types of food and drink and even got to visit a Cuban cigar emporium.
If you have time and want to learn about Little Havana, this is the tour for you.
Oh my, this is a real fun tour walking around and sampling all kinds of Cuban food, an enjoyment that lasts during the entire tour. The guide was fantastic full of knowledge and very helpful with any questions. You will remember many good things: food, music, culture, cigar factory, and the bakery. The Cuban struggle for freedom and independence has an importance in our history. Enjoy!
Great food and portion sizes were larger than I expected. Our tour good was knowledgeable and funny. I had an amazing time.
Jennifer was very knowledgeable and passionate about the neighborhood and Cuban culture.
We travel often, and always try to take in the local food tours. I would rate this one as a top 5,
based on the uniqueness of the food and enthusiasm of the tour guide. We also really enjoyed meeting
the other people on the tour.. they were from all over the world!! Because most of the stops
are fairly close together, there is not a lot of walking involved. The flavor of the food itself was excellent,
and the vibe was very casual. A very worthwhile tour to take up a few hours if near Miami.
The food was fantastic and Gina was a great tour guide. She was very knowledgeable about the area, the food, and I was amazed at how she was able to keep things running so smoothly for such a large group. I would definitely recommend this tour!
Our tour guide, Mirka Roch Harris was fantastic. She had lots of energy and was very knowledgeable. She encouraged the group to interact and took us on a great food and history journey! Thanks a lot Mirka!!!...The Wilkins from St. Louis and Atlanta
It was a great tour! Jennifer was a great tour guide and was very knowledgeable about the area. I would recommend thus to anyone traveling to the Miami area.
