What You Can Expect

Miami Art Tour: Design District, Midtown and Wynwood

Wynwood Kitchen & Bar Dining

Of all the things to do in midtown Miami, this impressive Miami art tour is at the top of many to-do lists from both locals and visitors alike.
Hop on a shuttle at the Shops at Midtown Miami, an urban mall featuring big-box stores, trendy retail shops and restaurants, as well as regular outdoor movies.
An expert arts curator leads this tour of Miami’s three outstanding art districts: Midtown Miami, the Miami Design District and especially the Wynwood Art District. These thriving regions feature a variety of galleries, museums and special exhibits and installations spotlighting the area’s rising artists.
In Wynwood, visit the Margulies Collection at the Warehouse, featuring contemporary and vintage photography, video and sculpture displayed in a 45,000-square-foot, retro-fitted warehouse space. Also in Wynwood, see the Rubell Family Collection, one of the biggest private contemporary art collections in North America (in a repurposed DEA warehouse). And in the Design District, stop at the de la Cruz Collection Contemporary Art Space, with works by some of the hottest names of the past decade.
During the shuttle ride, pass a host of trendy boutiques and urban-chic stores that define these unique neighborhoods.
Lastly, visit the famous Wynwood Walls (and Wynwood Doors), featuring the works from some of the world's greatest graffiti and street artists. Then enjoy a gourmet lunch or dinner (depending on option selected) at a celebrity restaurant like Shokudo, Joey’s Italian Café or Riviera Focacceria Italiana.
The tour concludes with a return trip to the Shops at Midtown.

Although incredibly hot this guided tour was the best Miami experience to date. You guide was very knowledgable and passionate about art He could not have been better than he was for my group of 3 obsessed street art photographers. Our guide was also very knowledgable on Miami history That made this tour even more fantastic. The included lunch was also fantastic. This is the art tour to take!

I came to Miami on vacation for a long weekend and this tour was the highlight of my trip. Our tour guide, Santiago, was so great and really took the time to explain all the pieces we saw that day. He felt like an old friend showing us around and even took us to some fun and unexpected stops along the way such as a rum distillery and local market for croquettes. I would absolutely recommend this tour! Also our prix fixe lunch was DELICIOUS at Old Oak Tavern and a perfect way to end our trip.

My only suggestion would be to brand the tour van and tell guests to expect a very private tour (it was only my boyfriend and myself) so we weren't taken by surprise by that fact.

As we discussed last week, our tour ( 4 adults) never happened. I have been assured that Viator will refund the full amount.
Susana Baker compted us a tour Wednesday and we were more than satisfied. She thoroughly knows the area, galleries and artists. We were pleased and would recommend using her and Viator.

The young man who was our tour guide was knowledgable and handled the tour well. The price was too high for the value.
